Quality of the food was average at best. A lot of fat and sinew came with the beef, which made it very hard to it. There was a hint of truffle, but not very strong, and the char on the beef was clearly done with a blowtorch as it was uneven. The sauce was too salty, and also not spread out evenly. The only saving grace was that a large portion of beef was given. However, the worst part was the service, bowls were left on tables for a very Long time and the service staff (who seemed like the boss) was very rude, not genuine, and not keen to do business. Do yourself a favour and eat somewhere else if you can, don’t subject yourself to this! There are plenty of options around the area(:

While this didn’t taste bad at all, crab didn’t come through at all, though it should have been the star of the dish. The crab was mushy (and clearly seemed like it came from a can), and the crab cake was breaded and fried, which we have not come across before, which made it seem like it was meant to cover the fact that canned crab was used. Miso hollandaise was nice however; a fresh rendition of the typical hollandaise. English Muffin was also nicely toasted, and the chewy yet crusty texture made for a nice mouthful, along with the eggs and crab.

Nothing to shout about, though we were really excited about this dish. While there was a strong curry flavour to the cauliflower, the entire dish tasted really flat. It felt as though all the individual ingredients were just thrown together without much effort and thought put into it, and they didn’t mesh well together.

A more refined and elevated version of your usual Trio Eggs with Spinach Dish. While the use of Kale was an interesting touch, the thick and tough stems made it slightly hard to eat, though the leaves had a nice crunch to it. This came with a thick sauce rather than your usual soup, but it was so flavorful, and you could tell that much time and effort was put into creating such a sauce that packed a punch.

A dish we get every time we’re here. So much flavour to every single mouthful, with the fragrance of the XO sauce permeating through the entire dish, and you can taste it in every grain of rice. The addition of long beans is brilliant, providing some crunch to the dish. The shreds of crab meat add to the lusciousness of this dish. Just a brilliant and well-executed dish.

The initial excitement over this dish has since died down and now it just feels mediocre. The fried chicken pieces were terribly small, with lots of flour bits instead. While the cashews were extremely fresh and flavourful, the heat overall has since mellowed. The mango puree also tastes too commercial and artificial.

Had to follow the crowd and try one of this so we could judge for ourself what the craze was about. Our first cup in a long time, and this didn’t disappoint, though it was sweeter than we liked. The warm pearls went really well with the ice cold tea. The pears were also the best we’ve ever had, as they were nice and chewy, and had clearly been in the brown sugar mixture for a long time. If anything, we hoped for a slightly stronger flavour from the tea, especially in the form of some bitterness.

A pretty complete dish overall, with all the components executed nicely such that we were craving for more when we finished. The mashed potatoes were creamy (though we found it odd that it was seasoned with white pepper instead of the usual black), the salmon was alright, but the pesto pasta went really well with the salmon and mashed potato.

Tender, juicy, succulent meat crusted with a crispy skin, paired with ultra crispy fries (which were nicely seasoned) and an extra flavourful mushroom sauce. A recipe for success, and a definite must-order next time we return.

The prawns weren’t fresh, which stood out like a sore thumb in an otherwise satisfying dish. The flavour of the garlic was infused throughout the dish, and the pasta was perfectly al dente. The squid was also perfectly tender, and the slight briny-ness from the seafood added an additional layer of complexity to the dish that we did not expect.

Easily the best dish of the night. While seasoned like your typical Lu Rou or Kong Bak (with sources like cinnamon, star anise and five spice), the addition of pineapple added another dimension to this beef, with both sweetness and acidity. You could also tell the beef was premium. It was luscious, rich, and melt in your mouth, with portions in between the meat that were both gelatinous and plump. The char on the outside of each chunky piece sealed the deal

All the elements in this dessert worked really well together and brought a sweet ending to an otherwise sad dinner. Individual components were great on their own, but having a mouth containing everything really put a smile on our faces. The sweetness of the ice cream, the bitterness of the hazelnut liqueur, and the crunch from the caramelised pistachio all meshed together very nicely.
