Sets come with rice and naans! Best naans I've had in Singapore without a doubt, served piping hot the naans, that are of right thickness and texture, complimented the various sweet and savory sauces like how bread compliments butter! The chicken tikkas were also one of the best I've had, they were tender yet bursting with flavors from the spices (unlike the usual dry and tough ones I've had). It was so good we had to have a second ala carte order! The lamb meat here is also very well handled so anyone who doesn't like the taste of the strong (pungent) scent when having lamb meat should give their lamb dishes a try! (-: We cleared our plates clean this meal, kudos to my dear aunt another food connoisseur of the family ๐Ÿ’–

I used to think HDL is one of best I ever had in terms of soup base, and service. (The freshness in their food, dropped a tad, and credits went to Imperial Steamboat). But this newly opened (opened for only 6 months), just blown my mind away literally! The ambience is clean, sophisticated and very charming modern oriental. Their service staff were cheery, helpful and thoughtful, especially their manager's eagerness to promote and recommend well. Now for the all important, their Mala soup base trumps HDL hands down! In fact, we had another soup base, pork bone soup was very delicious, thick and cloudy. When they refill the soup, you know they do not simply put some very weak watered-down soup of probably msg filled broth. Manager told me that their broth are all boiled for a long time, and that it is lighter than most place as they only used the freshest ingredients and no added msg is needed. Fresh meat, and seafood were only served, and they are really delightful to have. High praised for their handmade paste balls of prawns, pork, chicken and beef. Minced by the chef himself, and not flour was added into the paste, making everything meaty and very QQ. This place used SMS reservation, which is far more convenient than HDL. MOVE OVER HDL, You are so yesterday already.

Rainy nights call for a steaming bowl of this slurpalicious bean curd soup that comes with sweet and springy minced prawn, mushroom & minced meat balls, stuffed bitter gourd and bean curd skin stuffed with fish paste โ€“ all homemade and oh so tasty! As tempting as it is to pour the chilli and sweet sauces straight into the bowl, try the soup on its own first to fully appreciate the nuanced broth. If you think the portion's too small, you can opt for extra noodles at no additional cost.

This came highly recommended by #BurppleTastemaker Veronica and it sure did't disappoint!

When I came across this place on burrple and food blogs, I couldn't believe that their tendons are priced at $13.90. And I visited them last night, I was so amazed by its portion. 2 tempura ebi, 2 pieces of tempura chicken, tempura veggies - pumpkin, lady's finger, corn and shiitake mushroom and a tempura onsen tama under all that tempura mess! People say that it is the best in town, and I totally concur that. The ingredients are so fresh and the batter is light and crispy. You know how thick batter are so jelat after it is left for awhile, but nah that's not the case for Ginza's tendon! And their tendon sets come with a mini chawanmushi and miso soup. Their chawanmushi is definitely THE BEST I've ever tasted. It is so smooth and so rich, so good I can't even. This is definitely worth the queue and every cent you pay. Oishi, I can't wait for my next visit already!

Or go all-out for the version smothered in condensed milk then topped off with Milo powder (both $3.80).

#TukTukChaSG is such a gem. I will definitely be back for more!

Thanks to @the_xw for the news. Featured here is The Usual Wings ($6.50), half a dozen of them served with homemade BBQ sauce. I still prefer to dip mine in ketchup. โ€ข

The Salted Egg Prawn Pasta ($12.90) is a must try here! The spaghetti is topped with creamy salted egg sauce and fried prawns. โ€ข

The crowd today is so good that the kitchen is closed at 8.30pm! Also, love the lighting here. It seems like I took it in the day but it was taken at almost 8pm.

This must be THE most unique Yong Tau Foo that you can find. I first came to know and was drawn from the many posts by burpplers beginning with Veronica, on this YTF stall. You've got to try it to know it, and in this case how good this is. Those who are used to the default (nonya) YTF, you will not find the white fish paste filling but instead, it's PORK and shrimp. Instead of regular tofu, it's fried beancurd skin. The prized item seems to be the meat filled bitter gourd. Instead of serving it poached from the raw state. The bitter gourd meatball is braised and lightly fried before cooking in the soup. To me the most delightful part is not only the ๆ–™ (various ingredients) but also the nice soya bean soup stock and rice vermicelli. The vermicelli used is fine and soft and goes perfectly in the soup. How do you tell from a food preparer with pride and just a hawker selling food? Easy, check out the amount of spring onion they add to their food!

The briyani rice may look dry but that's because I had not splash the gravy on it prior to taking the pic. Anyway, I prefer my curries and gravies to be served on the side so I can pour on the amount I like (yes, I can be a bit of a control freak). The big surprise for me about the dish was the amazing tenderness of the masala chicken - it was pure joy to eat. And I couldn't stop spooning up that masala gravy either. For those who like something crunchy, they offer fried chicken as an alternative.

Two of our favorite gelato flavors at Cocoa Colony is the chocolate sorbet that's so indulgently rich and smooth it's hard to believe it's gluten-free (oh yes it is!), and its signature flavor that's essentially a decadent peanut butter gelato.

Opt for a scoop of eachโ€”it's a match made in heaven.

A hidden Thai gem in the middle of nowhere close to me, but thanks to our good friend we found this place. The Thai food here is so spicy and legit.

[Satay By The Bay] The newest kid on the block to serve Louisiana style seafood, Wholly Crab, was opened in May by Mediacorp actress, Felicia Chin. Keeping the costs affordable and offering a variety of sauces such as Creamy Cheese, Marmite, KungPao, Laksa and Curry, you will be spoilt for choices. We ordered the Love Bucket ($60) which comes with a whole crab, 8 gigantic prawns, 250g mussels, 250g clams, corn on the cob, potatoes and sausages in Laksa sauce and a side of sweet potato fries. The laksa sauce is so good and seafood so fresh that I am screaming out for more.
