My latte was born of the quirkily/naughtily named "Chocolate Starfish" (go google it), a 50/50 blend of beans from Costa Rica and Papau New Guinea. It was sultry and smoky and everything your mother warned you about ;)
But seriously, Pav, the friendly owner of this new-ish cafe used to be a co-owner of Sarnies at Telok Ayer. So when it comes to coffee, I think it's safe to say you're in very good hands.
This creative take on coffee is fabulous. Two shots of espresso are served separately alongside the big mug (upcycled from an old Absolut Vodka bottle) of creamy avocado ice-blend. To drink, you just pour the coffee in, stir it and suck. I did mine in two stages to stagger the caffeine kick. Alternatively, you can scoop the avocado ice-blend and pop it into the espresso for a swifter and more potent rush.
AEIOU Life (they position themselves as being more than a cafe) is located at 111 King George's Avenue. Opening hours are 10am to 10pm and they are closed on Mondays.
Or mix it with their super sour Lemonade to create an Arnold Palmer which blends the two extreme flavours into a more acceptable sweet lemon tea flavour.

soft serve was better off than stateland.... but one word to sum up is it is SWEET. The honey chip was way sweeter. Queue was about half an hour at 4pm. #burpple
This time it's at West Coast Plaza! Love the interior.
According to the staff, the peanut butter gives a thicker consistency to the cake. Maybe that's why it wasn't flowing out like a lava. Also, the ice cream was very icy. A yummy chocolate cake nonetheless.
It's hard to ignore this as you browse through the cake display looking for something to order. This comes in original vs. chocolate, ordered the latter to go with an Earl Grey tea, not too sweet and hits the right spot. I like it.
