𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙖 𝙓𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙪𝙤 麻辣香锅 ($1.98/100𝙜) - great mixture of spices and spicy level w/o being too oily. Price is reasonable and selection of ingredients is pretty extensive too.
𝑻𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒐 𝑬𝒈𝒈𝒔 番茄炒蛋 ($7): a good Tomato egg has smooth, silky, creamy eggs with slightly softened tomato (not mushy) and not too oily.
香辣虾 ($12): well seasoned, but personally, I'm not a fan of eating crunchy shrimp shell. So I had to remove the shell 😂.
水煮牛肉 ($12) - loving how tender the beef is, cooked in spicy, aromatic broth!
Everyone's favourite on the table.
𝙒𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙪𝙘𝙚 香辣石斑 ($28):the fish was beautifully presented in spicy, fragrant sauce. Personally felt that the fish can be more marinated / 入味.
57 Ma La Xiang Guo is a chain shop with outlets in Ang Mo Kio, Pasir Ris, etc. Pricing goes by portions instead of weight and ours here was $8.50. It wasn’t as good as we hoped for unfortunately. It wasn’t fried as thoroughly and the ingredients were mostly dominated by spice, but lacked flavour. The wide sweet potato noodles could be better cooked for a softer texture too.
