I felt they did not pair well with milk, as the flavours stayed separate rather than blending together. Still, who can resist freshly baked cookies, right!? Best eaten on their own, and remember to drink more water after as these cookies can be quite heaty. Cheaper if you take away in a bag, but I bought the container packaging since they were gifts and looked more presentable. Buy more and you get a discount. Overall, the cookies are satisfying in their own way, especially when enjoyed fresh from the store.

Yummy till the last piece!? Lapis Lapis! kuih lapis might just be your next best pick to add into your kuih lapis ranking. A yummylicious version that makes you want more after just one bite. I tried both the original and prune flavour, and preferred the prune. It gave an additional sweet‑sourish fruity taste that balanced the rich, buttery density of the cake. Texture was smooth, moist, and tender. Best enjoyed chilled for better flavour and texture.
