I've watched the entire Lord of the rings trilogy and my food hasn't arrived.
For real though, i waited an hour for food. Not to mention you pay first, so you can't leave even if you wanted to but doomed to spend an eternity just waiting for that one chef to cook for the entire restaurant. But at least the food is pretty good for the price.
Tldr, come if u have time to waste or the restaurant is empty.
Fried rice paradise, babaaaay! ๐
Just a simple quick dinner option that never fails to satisfy. This cozy joint in east village serves up great grub at amazing prices! ๐ต
With good wok hei, flavour and separate grains, this normal looking plate of fried rice impressed. It even came in a portion almost big enough for two to share.
Dining with a small group of friends? Plan your next catch up at YangZhou Fried Rice Restaurant. Located within East Village (next to WatSub), this cosy Chinese restaurant offers generous portions of zi char dishes at pocket-friendly prices โ perfect for sharing! Fill your table with the flavourful Yangzhou Fried Rice ($3) that will easily feed two, crispy Salted Egg Chicken ($6) and Yu Xiang Brinjal ($5) in spicy garlic sauce. You'll walk out stuffed, happy and with barely a dent in your pocket.
Avg price: $10 per person

This was a simple dish of eggplant in a spicy garlic sauce but it was pretty satisfying! Eaten with their signature Yangzhou Signature Fried Rice ($3), it really hit the spot for comforting, home cooked food. ๐
We were really surprised with the portions and quality of the food! Looking forward to visiting again soon and trying out a whole bunch of other food! ๐
Salted Egg Chicken ($6)
This is a secret find I contemplated posting about. Such a rare gem at East Village! So good was the Salted Egg Chicken I found nothing to criticize about it. The chicken cubes were fried till golden brown perfection and gently tossed in salted yolk paste. I can taste the crunchy crust, juicy chicken and savoury salted egg all in 1 bite ๐! Eaten with the accompanying onion slices elevated the dish further. At $6 for such a huge portion, I fear that it is only a matter of time before this place gets packed.
Yangzhou Fried Rice Restaurant is only 2 months old but its food packs the wok hei of an old-timer tze char stall. Also in picture is the flavourful Yangzhou Fried Rice ($3) ๐ and Yu Xiang Brinjaj ๐. This place serves truely honest and good food at exceptional prices!
Well at just $3, one cannot expect much but, wow! The grain is perfect! Superb Grainy texture! Thatโs how a friedrice should be folks! Granted it might be a tad salty for some, but for heavy palate pple, this will suit u!
