Lots of lovely cafes in Siam Square One! The cake was a tad too sweet for my liking, it masked the tea flavour but loved the ambience nonetheless!
Whiteflower located at Siam Square 1, one of the latest malls in Bangkok, serves good northeastern Thai cuisine. This traditional Thai salad dish is really an acquired taste. The vegetables and raw and the main draw of this dish is the sauce. I always thought the Japanese are experts in raw food, I was proven wrong when I stayed in Thailand for a period of time...realised that they too eat a lot of things raw!
เค้กมะพร้าวในตำนาน เนื้อเค้กเนียนนุ่ม มะพร้าวขูดที่โรยมาบางคนติว่าแข็งไปแต่เราว่ากรอบเคี้ยวกรุบตัดกับใส้เค้กที่เป็นเนื้อมะพร้าวอ่อนนิ่มรสดี อันที่ซื้อกลับไม่อร่อยเท่ากินที่ร้านแฮะ Spongy coconut cake from renowned Thai restaurant. Some found that the fresh coconut string topping is a bit too firm, but we think it’s a good contrast with its sweet filling.
แซ่บไม่เกรงใจระบบทางเดินอาหาร ตำซั่วนัวถึงใจ รสชาติบ้านๆ แบบไม่ดัดแปลงขึ้นห้าง ปากพองก็ยอม Northeastern style SOM TAM (papaya salad) with rice vermicelli - called TAM SUA. Of course fermented fish sauce must be used here to add the umami. WARNING: this mouth burner is not for amateur.

For the price, i was expecting more but ther were only 5 half prawns that were not fresh and small, broth was good though. Would rather get my tom yum fix off the streets. -
