This had a generous serving of chocolate and the sponge was moist, complemented by the rich chocolate around it and in the middle.
🌷 // Doesn't matter how gloomy the weather is, cos TGIF!!! Enjoying my coffee at @vickyscake on a Friday morning, in between of meetings. ☕️
My mother was craving some chocolate cake, so my brother got her some as mother's day part 2.
The cake is quite moist and chocolatey. My only gripe is that it is a little too sweet for my taste, but overall not bad!

Been so many years since I have started exploring Bukit Timah but there are so many places I have yet to visit, including Vicky's which had been around for a couple of years.
Decided to check them out since I was too early for class anyway. Initially wanted to order their Chocolate Cake but the Lamington displayed above the counter caught my attention (it also helped that the Lamington was cheaper too 😂). The exterior is coated with a smooth, sweet chocolate ganache while covered with desiccated coconut and the inside reveals a moist and fluffy vanilla sponge cake that was lightly sweet. A tiny nook that sells a majority of chocolate-based cakes, they do also serve coffee and does look like a good and quiet spot to get some work to be done especially if there are not many people around.
(PS: there was a point of time that Whoopie Pies was almost the trend food a couple of years ago; Vicky's still do carry these little treats that hails from the US. Now you know where to find them!)
