This is the place if you are looking for the authentic Chinese Pastries

These are the Rice Krispies I grew up with. Traditionally, ē±³ē²©/Lao Huei is a Fujian snack made for joyous occasion such as weddings. They break with a satisfying snap. (Level of crunchiness is 12/10). Glazed with molasses, they are light and sweet with a delicate "fried" aroma to it. No matter how much we buy, it would be finished as soon as it is opened. That's why I usually hide them from my family. I know good things are meant to be shared but if they are good traditional pastries, then I am sorry. #sorrynotsorry

When my mom steps into the house with a bag of familiar looking biscuits, my senses heightened, heart rate went faster, hyperventilation occur, and I quickly bounce off the sofa, dash towards my mom, and grab the bag off her hand. They are none other than the pastries and biscuits from Bakery Sin Hua Bee. Growing up in a Hokkien family, these like are my 'bao bei' (å®č“). I am currently the happiest Hokkien boy in the world right now !
My mom got me : Tau Sar Piah, Wedding Biscuits, Lao Huei, Hokkien Piah, Kacang Jumbuk and Koh Kia.

I am a true blue Malaysian Hokkien boy. So as a Malaysian Hokkien boy what do i like? Hokkien Biscuit la of course! The texture of these biscuits emulates a flaky version of a raw cookie dough. It melts in your mouth as soon as your teeth sinks into it to reveal a aromatic sweet filling.

Bright pink and yellow thin flaky pastry encasing a generous amount sweet filling. Bakery Sin Hua Bee is famed for their wedding biscuits. They have a wide range of traditional and authentic pastries/biscuits here. But, if you can't make up your mind due to the overwhelming wide selection here, I strongly recommend you to bring these bright chromatic babies home as they won't disappointment you (unlike real babies šŸ‘¶ haha ). They are delicious and they are made fresh daily.
