Sourdough fans must give this a try if you love the strong tang in your bread. The chicken is done well enough but could use a little bit more flavour for me.
You can take home a loaf of sourdough at only RM8 – what a steal!
Get this if you want something simple and tasty. I really love how soft the breads are here, plus they know how to toast it right every time!
I’m still dreaming of this sandwich. Perfectly toasted baguette cradles tender pieces of ribeye and fresh tomatoes – it really is perfect. Love the sandwich spread as well! There’s a hint of sweetness which the owner says comes from the baby pickles. Yum yum yum!
Top vote for a sandwich at Simplicite goes to this baguette with ribeye steak! Sliced thin, the meat is tender and melds perfectly with the sugary sweet pickles, tomatoes and slivers of cheese. The baguette is warm and crisp, while soft enough to easily sink your teeth into.
P.s. This is where the good stuff from Ebony & Ivory comes from.
Loved the sourdough at Simplicite, which had a deeper tangy flavour compared to many others I’ve had. The chicken filling is pretty good, not overly seasoned and would do well for a light lunch. If you like your sammies with umami, however, this may fall a tad short.
Would recommend getting the sourdough with the more flavourful ribeye instead!
So simple but so good! If you work or live in Cheras but haven’t been here, swing by for honest-to-goodness sandwiches. The egg mayo has a homey feel, elevated by spots of incredibly fresh, zingy tomatoes.
You can also get the egg in their soft baguette or tangy sourdough.
