Truffle Mushroom & Creamy Crab Pasta Big portion, affordable but definitely not the best pasta I’ve ever had. Still a good place to go to for your pasta fix

creamy crab pasta upsized ($23.80) i thought they would give more sauce if you upsize the pasta (so that it’s proportionate) but it seems like they don’t because there was rly not enough sauce here :( there was also barely any crab meat and the sauce wasn’t creamy or flavourful so all i could taste was bland pasta and chilli flakes used a $25 voucher for this so thankfully it ended up being free but even so i was q disappointed w this meal ://

Prawn in Pink! Back at Tipo again! This time to try their prawn in pink ($17.90++)! Picked the linguine pasta for the meal! The linguine is made of chilli garlic, which is the perfect combi for this pink sauce! The pink sauce is a mixture of pomodoro and alfredo sauces! cold white brew in original & caramel [2/5] 🚩 note on pricing: also a little confused about the amount paid - we used the 1 for 1 beverage voucher, and the menu on burpple says it's $7.80 for the caramel coffee (higher priced item). we were charged $8.58 ($7.90 x 1.1). it states on their burpple menu that beverages are subject to 10% dine-in charge. we didn't use their space at all & had clearly let them know that it was a takeaway order - not sure why dine-in charge still applies but buyer beware i guess. coffee's a 3.5/5 for us, but marked down to 2/5 considering the sneaky dine-in charge thing. went during lunch hour, service was decent. do note that the cold brew is placed by the side of the cashier & you're expected to self-service by taking the bottle and going to pay. wasn't aware of this and learnt the hard way. coffee was decent - we preferred the original flavour over the caramel. caramel coffee is lacking the creaminess that you would typically associate with caramel sauce. would say that this is abit of an acquired taste - the aftertaste of the caramel comes off as burnt cane sugar. original flavoured cold brew was acceptable, but not one that i would specifically make a trip back for. slightly lacklustre in comparison to the cold brew served at other cafes, and perhaps even more disappointing considering that this is a coffee chain, and their specialty is supposed to be in coffee.

We dropped by on a Wednesday night and there were seats avail. Aglio Alright ($19.90) - Tiger prawns | EVOO | Garlic Confit | Sous Vide Egg | Grana Padano. I thought the flavours and texture were all over the place; was expecting an aglio olio style pasta but the egg made it creamy and muted the garlic flavour. Also, made a mistake and added the bird's eye chilli which was so so spicy haha! Creamy Crab ($24.90) - Crabmeat | Garlic Cream Sauce. This was delicious! Generous lumps of crabmeat, paired very well with the addictive, garlicky, creamy sauce. Adding additional garlic chips and chilli flakes was a good touch too. Overall, Tipo has a wide selection of house special pastas and their fresh pasta choices were also good, albeit I couldn't really taste much of it. However, the place was quite cramped and echoey, and on the night we visited there was a large group with kids seated right in the middle of the restaurant. The kids were running around and made a huge ruckus, with us unfortunately being seated right beside them. We just quickly finished our meal and left the venue before the annoyance level creeped up. Perhaps the large tables could be situated at the corner of the restaurant to minimise such disturbances.

Creamy Crab Mafalde A premium dish but good lah. Unique pasta, enjoyable garlic cream sauce and just overall a very refined meal. They convinced me they're not run-of-the-mill.

No Way Jose ($29) Ordered No Way Jose which is a nice twist of the typical pepperoni pizza. The dough was soft and chewy and the toppings were really flavourful. Absolutely love the combination. This is easily one of the best pizzas i have had in Singapore.

Tipo Pasta Bar🍝 Went to Tipo Pasta Bar last week and ordered their Linguine (Chilli Garlic) and built my own pasta - Pink Sauce, Garlic Chips, Smoked Chicken, Swiss Brown Mushrooms ($17.90 before GST and Svc Charge)!😇 Overall ratings 8/10! Pasta was not bad but nothing too fancy🥹 Flavour of the pasta itself mentions chilli garlic too but it dosen't taste like it (staff did mention that the flavour is very mild tho haha) Would visit again only if I am craving for pasta😅

Pasta! Visited Tipo Pasta Bar for the first time! Realised that their pasta menu is actually very similar to Tipo Strada! Both outlets have the build your own pasta menu! The only slight differences for the pasta menu is the fixed bowl where their selections are slightly different! Here is what I tried this time round: -Absolute Alfredo for Gemelli (parsley pasta) [$17.90++]: Love their creamy white sauce! This came with swiss brown mushrooms and chicken (which was more like steamed chicken to me than "smoked chicken") -Build your own pasta: Linguine Chilli Garlic Pasta + Aglio Olio + White Clams [$14.4++]: Free toppings were included and we added ALL and it was a WRONG choice lol! The toppings added were chilli flakes, extra virgin olive oil, garlic chips and birds eye chilli. The addition of the birds eye chilli and chilli flakes plus it was a chilli garlic pasta SUPER FIERY! I couldn't stomach more than 3 scoops of it whoops! Lesson learnt, just stick to adding garlic chips only the next time!

Tanamera 2/2 - Iga Goreng The combination of tender beef, tangy achar and crunchy long beans made the 𝗜𝗴𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘄𝗹 an outstanding dish. Excellent Indonesian fare and I’ll definitely be back!

Tanamera 1/2 - Sop Buntut First time trying Tanamera Coffee and I’m impressed with the food. It also helps that there are 1-for-1 deals on Burpple Beyond. The oxtail chunks in the 𝗦𝗼𝗽 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘂𝘁 were supremely succulent and the broth was very flavourful.

Great coffee So glad to have tried the Iced Mocha ($6.50) from Tanamera Coffee today, as its quality brew made me happy! A smooth cup of coffee, the chocolate and coffee notes did not clash but instead complemented each other well. It is not too sweet yet quite rich. The amount of milk and ice was also just right and it stayed flavourful all the way till the last drop! Best of all, you can get 1 for 1 discount on their beverages using #burpplebeyond . Definitely a worthy cup of coffee I don't mind getting again!

Red Velvet Nutella Donut Bom If you are looking for some gift to Muslim friends or family, this place sell Halal cakes, tarts, macarons, donuts and brownies. They also have another outlet inside KINEX. I was attracted with this bright red donut, which filled with generous filling of Nutella and cream inside. The donut bom is soft as well.
