Soya Sauce Chicken I have tried it b4 as we think that it's meh tbh due to soggy soya sauce on the chicken and also left it too long for dinner time.

Original Chicken I have tried it b4 but the crispness and crunchy for chicken still have even though we eat a bit late.

Went to @ofcsingapore for their chicken and beers. We ordered 2 type chicken, crunch chicken and Yang Nyeom Chicken. We all prefer the Yang Nyeom chicken more, the chicken is tender and juicy inside, while outside crispy and coated in sweet spicy sauce. Beside the chicken, we tried the assorted fish cake soup and Tteokbokki. The Tteokbokki is chewy and quite spicy (good pair for beer). Packed with customers and for good reason! Came by on the eve of Labour Day and there was a long waitlist at about 7.30pm. Left out contact details and took a walk, and surprisingly we got the call to return about 25min later, quicker than expected. Ordered the Half Yang Nyeom Chicken Mixture ($23) which came in a huge portion and drenched in a sweet-spicy sauce. Spicier than expected for Mild, but thought the chicken could be crispier. For carbs, we just went with the simple Ramen ($10) which was actually decent and the noodles were perfectly firm. Washed it all down with a pint of Stella ($12 for full pint during HH), great with the complimentary crackers.

Their dishes were awesome! Back at Oven & Fried Chicken and once again fell in love with their dishes! The Yangnyeom Fried Chicken ($23 for 7 pieces) was definitely the crowd favourite. Still crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, each piece was covered in a sweet savoury sauce that is addictive. Jjampoong Tang ($35) was worthy dish to get! The spicy seafood soup had a rich seafood stock and wasn't too spicy. Packed full of ingredients, it was very comforting. Pajeon ($25) was surprisingly crispy while being fluffy on the inside. With the soy sauce and some sliced chilli, this really gets addictive too. Baked Crunch Chicken ($20 for 7 pieces) - definitely tasted healthy, but although the meat is tender and juicy within, I still prefer the original fried chicken due to its light and extremely crispy batter. Definitely coming back!

👉Fried Chicken👈 Deep fried till golden brown, they were served piping hot to the table, along with fries, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, buns and drinks of your choice (I got Bandung). 。 Fresh, crispy and tender 😋. But all-time my favourite fast food fried chicken still has to be Jollibee's!

A Date with Arnold Super love their french fries! ❤ Not a coleslaw eater so i changed it to mash potato. The fried chicken is very hot (temperature), so be careful! I like that the meat is lightly seasoned. Love the batter, reminds me of typical sg kopitiam western store. Worth running 2 rounds around the field just to eat the skin! $7.30 for 2 pcs chicken, the portion is just nice for a girl, not too sure about guys though haha! :P

Kimchi Stew Normal.

Crunch Yang Nyeom They're known for a variety of chicken styles. Crunch refers to their fried chicken that's baked. They also have deep-fried chicken and roasted chicken. Yang nyeom is sweet and spicy sauce. This chicken was okay, but a bit gimmicky.

oven & fried chicken left this place feeling like the fried chicken was very typical (still nice, but nothing special) BUT the kimchi stew… SO SO DELICIOUS and addictive we kept helping ourselves.

Rare Old School Chicken Cutlet & Codfish Fillet Classic Black Pepper Chicken Chop - The charcoal grill lent a lovely smokiness to the meat, and the black pepper sauce was not too overpowering. Food Panda Delivery From the North Branch 1st time trying. These are the worst chicken wing i ever eat in my life. I ordered 3 flavors. Texas buffalo, garlic parmesan and lousiana rub. Everything taste so wrong and leaves an icky after taste. Voodoo fries is yuck! Its a big NO NO

Hat Yai Fried Chicken Found this hole in the wall outlet in Bedok Center selling Hat Yai Thai food instead of your run of the mill Pad Thai. It was helmed by two Thai ladies so this must be authentic Thai food. With that thought, I bought their Fried Chicken Rice ($4.80) and Fried Chicken Skin ($3.60). The chicken rice is not like any other types of chicken rice in Singapore. Visually it looked like the version you can get in Bangkok from Bib Gourmand winner Polo Fried Chicken. But unfortunately taste wise, it is nowhere near. The rice was basically soya sauce, lemon grass and some other spices. No taste of chicken. The fried chicken, which came topped with fried shallots, was dry like tree bark. I assure you that you can get better ones from pasar malam. The saving grace was the sweet and tangy chilli sauce which caused me to salivate more and perhaps made swallowing easier. The fried chicken skin was biscuit like crispy. But it had some strange funky taste like unwashed meat. I gave up at the third piece and threw away the rest. Won’t be returning. By the way I discovered that they charged me 20cents more for food container even though I dined in.

Hatyai Fried Chicken Got our fried chicken fix at Shuang Bao Thai Hatyai Fried Chicken, a stall in a coffeeshop near Bedok Mall. Despite not hearing about it on social media, there was a long queue and a 40min wait even though we went near 6pm. Some things such as chicken skin and lu rou fan were sold out when we ordered and all the chicken were sold out when we collected our food. The fried chicken comes in various sets, we got ours with rice and mango salad. It was very crispy and tasty, just like what I had in Thailand but a bit more salty than usual. We also tried the fried pork belly rice which was pretty nice too but the chicken is clearly their signature. Will go back again earlier so I can try the other things in the future! 😋

Western Fusion Food Very affordable food here at this branch. Less crowded too.

Pisang Goreng Unicorn ($8.90) Pisang Goreng with a twist . Colourful coconut shavings atop the fried bananas . The colourful coconut shavings added a bit of crunchiness while the vanilla ice-cream balance the overall sweetness.

Super Feesh & Chic Fish & chips that uses chicken skin instead of fries. The snapper was unfortunately more batter than flesh. On the other hand, the chicken skin was actually better than most places. But this combo is so oily and jelak. The coleslaw and salad helped a bit. The potato salad and curry tartar were awesome.

Army Stew This place sells authentic Korean army stew packed with ingredients and also very daebak fried chicken. Go early, otherwise you will expect a queue or being turnaway for full house. Expected Damage: $150~/4pax

Somaek Tower 2L Lovely, light & refreshing with K88 fried chicken! Good for 4-6pax.

Soy chicken If you don’t prefer spicy chicken, this is a good choice.

Yummy Flavors And Good Portion Tried Truffle, Mala and Sour cream. I liked the first two. Portion was good and at 8.80, a nice snack for two

Sambal or butter garlic For their bbq stingray, Ace offers the option of sambal or garlic butter or both. We decided to have the best of both worlds. The stingray was fresh. The meat was firm and yet flaky. Miss K loved their garlic butter rendition of the dish. The pungent garlicky and creamy flavour may seem kinda strange but worked well with the natural sweetness of the stingray.

Sambal sotong done right Ace first started as a bbq seafood stall at the Old Airport Road FC. This was apparent as their bbq seafood was really good. Their sotong was fresh with a soft and chewy texture. The sambal paste was strong and robust with the right blend of spices. This is one dish that I will highly recommend ordering!

Samgyeopsal meets Sambal Stingray Can you name a place in Singapore which serves you samgyeopsal (Korean pork belly) and kimchi stew alongside sambal stingray and sotong? I can't think of anywhere else besides Ace, a Korean fusion bar and bistro which recently set up shop in the Bugis / Lavender area. Their samgyeopsal was marinated with gochujang and grilled to order. Whilst the meat part of the samgyeopsal was juicy and tender, the fatty and skin layer was unfortunately rather tough instead of gelatinous and crispy. According to my research, this is apparently because the pork belly was dehydrated faster than the collagen can convert to gelatin, drying out the meat and making it leathery instead of softening and crispying. If they can fix this, the samgyeopsal would be really tasty!

Max's Fried Chicken Supposedly what made them famous. I'm not sure. These were very average. It felt like one of those foreign restaurant chains that did okay for being basic.

Pancit Canton Basically Filipinos frying Chinese noodles. Don't. Let the Chinese do it. It's worse than the fried noodles you get at buffet catering. So salty too.

Fried Boneless Bangus ($19.80++) Still a milkfish lover, and more so if it’s deboned (never loved those teeny tiny bones 🥲) - thus this dish. Marinated in vinegar with hints of pepper and salt, the fish was fried nicely and not oily This fried dish can easily be achieved at home.
