Koo Kee Yong Tau Foo Value Set meal One of my to-go eating spot with my family. This set comprises of a bowl of assorted ytf, mee kia with minced meat tossed with sesame oil and kang kong. Pretty simple meal. You can also order other sides like fried beancurd in thai sauce, nacho cheese and more. Those can get quite soggy if not eaten immediately but the refreshing cucumbers does help to lighten one’s palate. Yong Tau Foo - mince meat yellow noodles Unlike the usual yong tau foo, you get to choose. This comes in a set. $6.00 with the special sauce vegetables (sauce a bit salty to my liking). This is the nearest i can find to Hakka style Yong Tau Foo - meepok like noodle with mince meat. Koo kee has many branches everywhere..

Fish Cutlet Scrambled Egg Rice I kept thinking about them. I picked fish over chicken and pork and kinda regretted it, because it's not a cutlet and it had oil odour. Overall still enjoyable lah. Take note they're moving to Ave 7!

Fried Fish Cutlet Scrambled Egg Rice ($5.80) Kovan Scrambled Egg Rice also has various seafood options such as the fried fish cutlet. Each bowl usually comes with not less than 5 pieces of fried fish cutlets! The fish is decent but I personally prefer their animal protein options! Kovan Scrambled Egg Rice is unfortunately shifting to Block 335, Hougang Avenue 7 at the end of June 2024. According to the 老板, this is due to an increase of their monthly rent to *gasp* $7k. The stall assistant who usually helms the stove has also left and there is an obvious drop in the quality of their food in the last 2 weeks. I will drop by to support them but hopefully they do maintain their quality and affordability in their new location!

Beef Scrambled Egg Bowl ($6.80) Kovan Scrambled Egg Rice also has a few "premium" options available. For an extra $1, you get to choose oysters, mala pork or beef with your scrambled egg rice bowls. I have only tried the beef option. I like that their beef comes in slices which are neither too thin (tasteless and dry) or too thick (tough). Like the fried chicken cutlet, it is nicely marinated and cooked to order. Tender, juicy and piping hot, I would gladly pay for the premium bowl! For those who like a peppery kick, I will recommend mixing in their mala chilli which comes in a dry, flaky rub form. It is not too spicy and adds flavours to the beef!

Signature Set 5.5nett Extra Minced Meat +1nett So much memories, first time I had it in 3 years and still as good. Minced meat noodles were really flavourful, kangkong with fermented beancurd sauce was as delicious as it was before. Broth was clean as ever and fish paste was springy(usually comes w a mixed of fried and non fried items) P.S. So there's a trick to eating this as the sauce is q strong, have to carefully dig out the parts below without sauce and eat w the top. A lot of people mix it when they realise the sauce is v strong, without realising the water underneath resulting in the sauce being way too diluted.

Yong Tau Foo Bee Hoon Soup Pretty salty yong tau foo but if you want something convenient and average, this is it.

YTF Set Never tried this despite coming to this food centre multiple times (fantastic chicken rice here), as it looked a little plain, but glad I did this time. Noodles were springy, though still a little starchy. I’m not a big fan of the fish paste items, but they do theirs pretty well.

Weird Order Sad. The best thing about Koo Kee is their dry mee kia. Mine became dry ytf with rice, which is weird since rice usually goes with soup ytf. It's also weird because there are omelette and beans.

disappointment was so happy to find this shop near my new house . had been making weekly purchase but finally decided to post this feedback n would not purchase anymore: 1. the young one got my order wrong. i req veg wo sauce 2. she gave the man behind me his order 1st which i didnt complain 3. her colleague forgot my rice and was about to pack my order when i reminded her (nothing new from my previous purchase) and the young one cut me off asking me not to rush as they are still packing. the service is nothing to shout for and that is the last they will see of me..hope for a new koo kee at neighbouring coffee shop to provide competition

YTF Set With Noodles Will never go wrong with this combo

Koo Kee Yong Tow Foo Mee Set Rounding up 2018 with my favourite comfort food - Koo Kee Yong Tow Foo Mee set ($7.30, inclusive of extra eggplant) from Food Republic at Wisma Atria! The set comprising springy egg noodles tossed in lard and minced meat, fresh YTF ingredients dipped in chilli sauce and kang kong drenched in fermented beancurd sauce is simple but satisfying:)

Yong Tau Fu ($4.60) The noodles weren’t soggy even though it was a takeaway meal; I like that it was like a flat noodle but thinner than meepok, and didn’t have a very strong alkaline taste. The taukwa was my favourite, as the skin was chewy and the insides soft. The taupok was nice too! The fishball was okay; taukee slightly too salty and the tofu was midway between firm and soft but I didn’t like the meat on top. Koo kee is a slightly above average place for ytf, and it is pretty convenient with many outlets.
