We started with two of their new additions. The Braised Beef Brisket with Potatoes was satisfying, with tender, flavorful potatoes and brisket that melts in your mouth. While the beef could have been a touch more tender, the dish still offered plenty of warmth and comfort. The Clay Pot Pork Bone with Tofu featured tofu well-soaked in a savory broth—subtle and enjoyable for those who prefer a lighter flavor. Among the signature dishes, the Pan-Seared Green Chilies with Century Egg was a treat for spice lovers, bringing a bold kick with every bite. The Big Shrimp with Vermicelli stood out, showcasing fresh, juicy prawns steamed to perfection. The Stir-Fry Smoked Bamboo Shoots brought an aromatic, smoky depth that rounded out the flavors beautifully. For those who enjoy a firmer texture, the Signature Grass Fish with Chili had a satisfying chew and a nice balance of spice. Some dishes were more delicate in flavor. The Sauerkraut Fish, for instance, had a mild soup base with small bones that may require a bit of extra attention. The Stir-Fried Pork with Abalone was flavorful, leaning slightly toward a saltier taste, which could appeal to those who enjoy bold seasoning.

Spicy Fried Chicken Here comes the main food on the table, covered with lots of chili and underneath you find lots of fried chicken pieces to enjoy. They are all in small pieces so you could enjoy them easily. Not too spicy for me.

Eggs with Tomato Needed some soupy food so gotten this one. Fluffy omelette mixed together with lots of tomato slices.

Organic Cauliflower with Pork Didn’t expecting the portion would be so big but thankfully 3 of us managed to finish them. Lots of cauliflower there, stir fried together with chili and sliced pork.

Claypot Tofu (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2) There's always something charming about claypot dishes, and given that tofu dishes are our favourite in tze char, we definitely had to try the 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗽𝗼𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝗳𝘂 here. The tofu cubes are soft and bouncy, similar to the tofu fishcakes used in hotpot places. The minced meat braised sauce is moreish with a tolerable spice level, although it was slightly saltier towards the end. ⁣

Hunan Style Fried Pork (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2) The signature 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻-𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸/小炒肉 may look like a simple stir-fry at first glimpse, but it's well executed and big on flavours! The tender Iberico pork slices are smoky and mildly spicy, with the aroma emanating from the black bean sauce and garlic. The sliced green pepper and white fungus also added a nice crunchy texture to the dish. It tastes so homely - we pretty much demolished our rice with this! 💚⁣

Despite its simplicity, this comforting dish of scrambled eggs and juicy tomatoes delivers a rich depth of flavour. The combination of the sweet, tangy tomatoes and savoury eggs creates a nice balance that's both homely and flavourful. It's a true representation of how basic ingredients can come together to make something deeply delicious.

辣椒小炒肉 (Hunan-style Chilli Stir-fried Pork)($25.90) Another must-try Hunan classic, this stir-fried pork dish uses thin-sliced pork belly, giving it a chewy, tender texture and a rich umami flavour from the fats. The dish features fragrant chilli imported from China, adding a pleasant heat, while white fungus provides a touch of sweetness and garlic enhances the aroma. The flavour is slightly smoky, savoury, and mildly greasy but not overpowering. It has the right balance of spice and crunch from the aromatic chilli, which I particularly enjoyed.

Definitely liked the food here, good for families I wondered why so many people loved @xiangxiangsg and I now know why. With good food, good service and free snacks, what's there not to love? Join their free membership and you can get quite a good discount too! The Golden Broth Sour and Spicy Fish ($25.90 member price) was a crowd favourite, due to its comforting flavourful broth. It isn't too spicy, and the fish slices had a wonderful bouncy tender, signifying its freshness. This is so good with rice! Their 18 second Angus Beef Stir-fry ($18.90 member price) is also another good order. Bold in flavours, the beef slices were relatively tender and quite smoky. We absolutely loved the garlic pieces as they had so much umami! Definitely a beer food material as it was so addictive! Finally, their claypot tofu stew ($14.90 member price) was another staple we had to order. The taste is familiar, but better than the usual claypot tofu. Their tofu is also different, as it had a fish cake texture instead. There were other dishes that we had but they weren't worth mentioning. I must say their dishes were mostly executed well. I wouldn't say they are the best, but they have the quality and price range that would be accessible to most families and they do warrant return trips. Can't wait to be back!

Xiang Xiang Hunan🌶️ Went to Xiang Xiang Hunan 2 weeks ago and ordered their x2 Spicy Chicken, Cumin Beef, Stir-fried Organic Cauliflower, Hunan Style Stir Fried Pork, Sour and Spicy Potatoes, White Rice, and Giant Lemon Tea ($170/7 pax)😇 Overall ratings 10/10! Food is goodddd and highly recommend their Cumin Beef, and Cauliflower🤪 Service is also good as you get free snacks and ice cream, and you can sign up to be a member for free to get 15% off your bill💯 Would definitely head back again!

超大杯柠檬茶 Jumbo Lemon Tea (800 ml) ($3.60) Absolutely worth it! Huge and refreshing! Packed with plenty of lemon slices, it was satisfying to drink and a great value for the price.

虾仁蒸蛋 Steamed Egg with Shrimp ($11.90) A simple, healthy, and light dish, but honestly, it was quite plain. The silky egg had a load of soy drizzle, but it didn’t leave much of an impression. The prawns were bouncy, which was a nice touch, but overall, the dish felt basic and uninspired.

酸菜鱼 This is part of the 农耕记湖南土菜 chain that's come to Singapore. Authentic Hunan cuisine. I love the three recommended dishes. This is one of them.
