Enjoy dining without burning a hole in your pocket, no membership required
It was slightly surreal to find myself seated for today's lunch in a club-like setting complete with colourful illuminated tables, glossy black walls and crystal chandeliers. As K-Pop and English hip-hop played at a thankfully low volume in the background, I tucked into my bowl of sliced pork stir-fried with onions, capsicum and carrots in a Korean red sauce paste called "gochujang". Served on a bed of plain rice, this turned out to be pretty appetising. The lunch set came with a bowl of miso soup, a small salad and the usual Korean-style sweet and sticky ikan bilis and peanuts. The "kimchi" wasn't part of the set but a complimentary dish from the lady boss.
Opened in November 2014, Reverse Asia Restaurant is owned and run a young and friendly Korean couple. I reckon that means the food should be authentic. One of these days, I'll return at dinner time to try the other dishes on their menu.
