Addictive. Tau gey, lots of egg, and a prawn-ish taste.
Maybe it's a Malaysian thing. It came with chicken and char siew (that extra piece was mushroom). In Singapore chicken is lo mai gai and char siew is fan choy.
The salted egg filling here didn't ooze out, but the taste was correct. Maybe it wasn't kept hot.
These obviously had to be prepared early so they're dry and not hot.
Visually unlike other yam puffs, and with an effect - the top was crusty and offered an additional sensation. It really helped that it was freshly fried. All the fillings were like melting.
