I'm here to prove it to you. Being a regular at Hock Lai BKT since young, I like how their soup is so tasty and the meat basically falls out of the bone by itself.
The soup version is classic and comforting. You can taste the herb distinctively but not overpowering. The aftermath of getting "sticky" lips after drinking the soup shows they started the broth with chicken leg. That's why it's so tasty. 😜 The dry one is AMAZING. My favourite. The pork from BKT is used stewed to make the fried one with some chillies, dried squid, ladies finger and etc. The dry BKT is simply delicious and tender. A must try at Hock Lai! I love ladies finger. Having a little of it cooked this way is definitely indulgence and perfection to me.
Other than Chow Kiat (another amazing Klang BKT but only opens at night), Hock Lai is my recommended place for amazing BKT. They're very generous with their soup too! Chow Kiat is a little stingy with their soup. Lol! And Hock Lai opens from morning. ☺️ Food: 9/10 Price: 9/10 (RM 24 for BKT + drinks and 3 plates of rice)
