There are a few places that offer this kind of dry Japanese soba with soy sauce and in SG. We wonβt lie that we got our own favourite place for this Mazesoba kind but the signature here is gyoza π― (Golden crisp & full of juicy pork filling). If you find Mazesoba too dry for your liking, top it up with the small soup bowl.

My go-to food when I am in Japan and I don't know what to eat and they happen to be nearby. Thankfully the standard is quite maintained in their Singapore outpost/ franchise.
There are 6 pieces but our chopstick skill is better than photo taking skill. π Chijimi is a spicy pancake (think Buchimgae or Korean pancake) We do enjoy the taste but not quite sure as it supposed to have no dipping sauce on the side. The soya sauce & chilli oil on our table wouldnβt go that well as the dipping.π€
This item is in their βKagurazaka Saryoβ lunch menu (Mon-Fri) from 11:30 am to 5 pm.

Cha-Nabe allows you to pick between Japanese rice OR housemate udon. It doesnβt come with side dish but include Houji Tea. Thatβs why we order Osaka lunch set in earlier post (so we can share a side dish)π€

The salmon texture is too soft for our liking and make us pondering on the quality. The broth is light and flavourful. We think this eatery (same chain like Ajisen) offers quite a wide choice with good price point. Skip this salmon set and check out other sets for your experiment! π
Hidden at the side of Junction 8 mall, we wouldnβt come across them if itβs not because of their neighbour (Singtel shop). π² The menu here looks affordable and tempting. We order this βOsaka lunch setβ which comes with a soup, side dish (we pick Chijimi π another post) and houji tea.
.
The noodle is a fine type very well coated with sauce. Some might prefer to pour the soup but we like the intense flavour of sauce goes well with pork belly and black fungus. π

Another weekday lunch place if you are in Bishan area. Good service with quiet corner for talking and catch up.π
noodles were thin and chewy, cooked just right. however, the soup was much too salty for my liking and the meat was average.
one plus point would be the price point though β the meal came up to just under $10 for the ramen with gyoza and a drink (student meal). an affordable option for ramen π
