Saturday is scone day ...
I have been craving for a good old fashioned scone and saw this cinnamon Raisin scone at a small cafe at valley point .
The cafe has a pretty huge menu ranging from brunch items to breads to cakes and birds nest ?😂
The look of the scone attracted me immediately . A pity that the jam quality wasn’t so good and there was no clotted cream .
The scone had a nice crumbly texture but could be better if there was a slightly lesser hint of the baking soda .
The flat white was however decent .
Nice quiet cafe for a change .
Have a lovely weekend everyone! Pictured: Matcha Sesame Cake with Bird's Nest ($6.90) from Nesture, hand modelled by @amie.hu
The waffles here are actually quite good, it's crispy yet retaining bite in the interior without being too airy. Bird's nest are also added here, but don't waste it on the waffles. I feel that it's best mixed with the ice cream as the texture goes better together.
Panna cotta with bird nest, cakes with bird nest, macaron with bird nest and drinks with bird nest. Shiok! 😄
The mango cake was good on its own. It was smooth without being too sour nor to sweet. Although at times I felt the addition of bird's nest unnecessary, for this particular cake it does create an interesting blend of texture, and that works for me. And it's only $6.90.
Nesture is nestled within Valley Point, serving authentic birds nest and birds nest desserts.

Pictured from left to right: Baileys Tiramisu with Bird's Nest; Bird's Nest Gula Melaka Creme Brulee; Mango Pomelo Panna Cotta. The desserts are good on its own, even without bird's nest. The addition of bird's nest could improve the texture of some of these desserts making it rather interesting.
