The dessert to end my meal here at one-Michelin-starred Nakatani. Soft, light and fluffy, and adorned with fresh strawberries, it has all the qualities of a Japanese dessert.

Having tried horse sashimi in Kyushu, I opted for horse instead of wagyu here just to taste how cooked horsemeat tastes like. Just like how the sashimi version of thi meat compares with beef, the cooked version still shares many similarities, except it's more dense, a bit more gamey, and more lean. I definitely still prefer beef, so it's not a game changer if you haven't tried horse meat before.

Enjoyed my meal here at one-Michelin-starred French-Japanese restaurant. Prior to my trip I have heard that you don't always get service in Paris when you don't speak French, but service here was excellent, and I enjoyed my experience here. More about the food in another post.

Monkfish is known for its firm flesh and light taste that is seldom fishy. Of course, the fresh ingredients used at this French-Japanese restaurant helps as well.
