[CLOSED] Maru-Ten Udon (Parkway Parade)

Following much of Tamoya's concept, Maru Ten also serves Soup Tendon apart from the usual Tempura + Udon combinations. You can opt for either small, medium or large sizes for the rice (this is the small portion at $2.80) which comes with its own gravy while you are free to grab any amount of the Tempura charged accordingly to the listed price. While the chicken cutlet tasted pretty good, it wasn't exactly tempura for the use of bread crumbs. Also went for the Sweet Potato Tempura and the Pumpkin Tempura; both could have been a little softer to bite and the tempura felt a little soggy. The tempura generally felt a little dry, but this is probably when the Tempura soup (which comes free-flow) comes in handy; providing a little moisture and a light, savoury flavour to the tempura. Not the best, but an option to consider if you are looking for somewhere affordable to pig out in a convenient location.
