A new stall here in Serangoon Gardens FC serves a surprisingly refreshing mee sua covered by a spicy, sweet and sour sauce that's similar to a watered down version of chilli crab sauce. The lala are fresh and you get a bowl of soup that tasted like seafood soup. I'll come back to try the prawn noodle. Only set back is the price. The lala noodle cost $7 but the ingredients are really fresh and sauce tasty. 👍👍
From Malaysia Jonker Street Traditional Misua, a new stall in the food centre at Beauty World — serves only two dishes; the Longevity Noodles which come dry and the Malacca Traditional Misua which is wet (the latter is also more popular amongst diners). A mild savoury, the noodles were a little softer than what I expected but still decent, though it might have been a little bit better if it was more qq. The ingredients used were largely fresh from the shrimp and the fish slices, and for the most part the Lala didn't carry to heavy a stench apart from one which was rather stark in comparison with the rest. They could have cleaned up the Lala better though; I didn't fancy having to chew past bits of grit for the Lala. Do add in the chili if you are one who likes piquant spiciness for the one here does give it the kick for those who might find it a bit tame in flavour.
