I recently visited a local restaurant and tried a few dishes.
The claypot chicken looked fresh and steaming when it was served. It was tasty, though there was a bit of excess sauce at the bottom.
The egg with prawn was really fluffy and delicious, definitely one of the highlights.
The broccoli was soft but could have used a bit more flavour.
The soup was great, with tender pork that was very soft and enjoyable.
As for the dessert, it was quite creamy, providing a nice finish to the meal. Overall, it was a decent dining experience with some standout dishes.
Had dinner here last week, and Le Cheng did not disappoint. The steamed chicken was tender, bursting with authentic kampong flavour. The claypot brinjal was deliciously soft and packed with taste. The hotplate tofu had a nice spongy texture, and the broccoli with mushrooms was good, though the broccoli could’ve been a bit softer. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for authentic Hainanese food!
