Hawker food
I was there on a weekday morning at 7.15am and the kopitiam was all quiet, with the stall owners preparing their business for the day.
I was the only one at the kopitiam. Ordered this toast and egg set for $2.60 (NTUC member price). I guess I am an easily contented girl. Such quiet morning breakfast makes me happy.
We ordered this sharing plate for 3 pax at $13.50.
Ingredients were generous. Hubby likes the assortment of ingredients served. I personally find that the kway could do good with more flavour. Ingredients were generous.
Waited about 20 mins for this.
Generous with ingredients. Soup is flavourful, yet comforting. Back here a few times and always good.
This prata here is always served crispy and my family loves the curry here.
👍👍👍
$4.80 for 5 ingredients and mee hoon.
Always my to-go comfort food. Pretty good variety of ingredients to choose from!
This is not as sweet as the other Thai Milk tea from bubble tea shops or Thai restaurants selling milk tea. Soy milk taste is pretty distinct too. Makes a good and healthier alternative to the sweet Thai Milk Tea elsewhere.
Best taken straight from chiller.
We ordered 2 bowls of seafood soup at $7.50 each and while my counterpart enjoyed the soup, he did not finish it, which was not typical. I personally did not enjoy it as much as the soup came warm, not hot, which was disappointing for any soups served. There were 2 big prawns, generous portions of soup and 3 big chunks of handmade pork ball (minced rolled balls). It's perhaps my personal take that the minced rolled balls were too huge for a soup which is called 'seafood'. Unami flavour was strong, but unfortunately, as mentioned, not hot enough. Me and counterpart have conflicting viewpoints about this soup.
This is so good. The ingredients are sufficient and more importantly, the curry is very satisfying. Almost comforting. You can see many customers ordering this as well. We finished the soup to the very last drop 😋😋😋 .
Wanted to have their duck porridge but it was sold out by 1pm. You can tell how popular it is. Decided to go for their kwey chap, the less healthy option. It was sinfully good. 😬😋 The chilli, the ingredients and texture of the kwey- no complaints! Soup was delightfully tasty too.
Love it. So good. Flavourful in every spoonful. I had this with the 2 different types of chilli. Happiness in each mouthful.
We ordered the sliced grouper fish soup (Medium, $8) and the seafood soup (Medium, $9). The fish soup was great and very tasty, though my counterpart felt it was a tad salty. Fish was fresh! The seafood soup was decently good as well and the prawns firm. You can see from the photo how rich the soup broth is. It's pretty expensive for the meal but I may consider a return as it's really flavourful.
We ordered the large-sized portion for 2 adults and 2 children. With ingredients top-up e.g. enoki mushrooms, meat ball, tao kee and youtiao, it came out to $21. It was a hearty, herbal and simmering hot meal which satisfied our cravings for something soupy. The ingredients thrown in were generous.
