Change your perceptions about vegetarian food at @newfutkai! This is not my first time here and the taste and quality of the food continues to exceed my expectations!

We tried a new flavour (Tom Yum) of their signature charcoal hotpot and it was still great! I love how the soup base wasn’t overwhelming spicy or sour, retaining just enough of those elements to term it Tom Yum but not stealing away the natural sweetness of the ingredients. The charcoal pot also lent a hint of wok hei to the soup too!

The Pumpkin Butter Sauce Mushroom was so good and addictive that my friend brought his wife for a return visit the following weekend! 😂

Sweet and Sour Fish with Rice, or… is it? Found this vegetarian cafe with really affordable prices near our weekend hood! Nestled deep within a HDB estate, the place is really conducive for a catch up with friends and the prices here are really affordable. This lunch set only costs $7.90!

I also like that the food is freshly cooked to order so you can be assured that your meal comes piping hot! The fried fish also got me confused a little because it didn’t taste vegetarian at all. But one gripe that I have is that they forgot my egg despite me paying that additional dollar extra 😅
