Had a little trouble locating the cafe. Had to through the food court and up the escalator out to the rooftop. Place is really cozy, if it’s not raining, the outdoor seating would have been great.
Basil chicken pasta: imo, I find it light. The marination of the chicken is as good as none. Overall dish perhaps a little too watered down? Dried herbs definitely cannot be compared to fresh herbs.
Chilli prawn pasta: I’m someone that eats xiao la for my mala. So I find the spicy taste somewhere between xiao la and zhong la. Quite shiok. The prawns are pretty fresh and the overall taste is stronger than the basil pasta.
Both pastas isn’t al dente, they are a little over cooked to my liking. And the funny thing is, both the pasta looks steaming hot, but they aren’t hot? 🧐🤨
Earl grey and the hibiscus tea are twinnings tea bag. Nothing too special about it except for the fact that they are served in cute teapots.
Shop was empty when we went in. Got both the Gastro Relief (coriander honey) and Calming Bites (lavender honey). Both drinks smells pleasant, light and refreshing on a hot day.
At the start I was excited and expecting my drink to taste like coriander 🌿 but to my surprised it’s not. Was told that the honey was actually made from the nectar of the coriander flowers.
You can customise the drink to be hot or cold (less ice etc) and for it to be made with still or sparkling water. Then watch the machine start up and prepare your drinks.
Pop by for brunch on a Saturday. Was placed on a waiting list, however queue moved pretty quickly.
You get to order through your phone via a QR code. Not much customisation except for the eggs. The big breakfast isn’t the best I had but still somewhat decent.
Personally I’m not a fan of the mushrooms (tasteless, not seasoned), bacon (over-overcooked like jerky meat - dry) and the toast is cold..
The settings in the cafe was pretty chill. Staffs are friendly. 👍🏻
