Arroz con pollo means "rice with chicken" in Spanish. Here we have grilled chicken sitting on a bed of Mexican rice topped with onion, bell pepper and capers. The marinated grilled chicken was tender and flavourful. The rice is done almost similar to a risotto texture and packed with flavours and the use of capers added hints of tangy and lemony flavours to the dish.

Chicharron (fried pork belly) sandwiched between the thin and crispy flour tortilla and bound together with melted cheese. The pork quesadilla was flavourful and served with a side of pineapple salsa.

Elote is grilled corn on the cob slathered with mayonnaise and garnished with chili powder and fresh lime juice sprinkled all over with salty Cotija cheese and cilantro.
It tastes sweet, savoury, tangy and spicy all at once. The mayo becomes more like a creamy sauce, absorbing the flavour of the chili powder, cotija cheese and lime juice. It's tangy without overpowering the corn. The combination of sweet and slightly charred corn with the spicy sauce was good. This is a little messy to eat but worth every bite.

Ribeye steak, fried pork belly, chicken tikka, mantra wings, samosas and served with slaw, poppadom chips, mint yogurt and house sauce 》$60
The crispy and crackling pork belly is pretty good except it was a little salty and their chicken tikka is the star in this platter… it’s just awesome! Pair this platter with the wide range of craft beer available at freehouse to have the best combo.

This is basically a naan flatbread sandwich with grilled cheese which is also a vegan item on the menu. Just by looking at those cheese oozing out was shiok enough. Nothing special but it's something healthy and comforting 》$15

While the name says sambal fries, it actually feels like black pepper fries instead. The sambal were used on the quail eggs only hence the overall dish isn't that spicy. Heard that it used to be too spicy from feedback hence they decided to tweak it. I was hoping to get sambal coated fries but this was not that bad after all... just expectation vs reality 》$15

Chicken Tikka Taco / Kerala Beef Taco / Ma’s Fish Taco 》2 for $13 / 3 for $15
Taco Mantra has been moving around bazaars and pop-up events before they decided to takeover the kitchen at Freehouse.
I love their Ma's fish taco that comes with flaky fish fillet covered with masala and tomato salsa. The fish was well seasoned and crunchy. Something nice to be accompanied with beer and friends over tacos.

I'm in a relationship with food. Why can't we just declare our never ending love and vows towards some food item? I'm sure that would not result in divorces.
