With her unrelentless servings of matcha in each macarons, it deserves a well note of caution to both antagonists and enthusiasts on the matcha spectrum. To the former, it could be too legit to handle. To the latter like me, this could easily sweep your heart away. 💚 I extremely love the deep penetrating matcha astringency hidden in every bite of luscious pillow-like ganache. This alone has proven itself worthy for matcha lovers like me!! Also, these aren’t your traditional extra diabetes-inducing sweet macarons. Rather, they have tapered the sugar to allow every element to shine through!!✨ BBM has also ingeniously fused together out of the world flavours which you never thought would work out. 🤯 The strong flavours can become jelak easily. Paradoxically, it has propelled me to savour every element slowly to maximize my enjoyment towards the treats!
🦖
1️⃣ Black sesame Matcha
Earthiness of black sesame blends really well with the umami of matcha. An unexpected match(a) made on earth!

2️⃣ Matcha
The raw unadulterated aroma of matcha is very well carried, without being overly excessive. Balanced as Thanos would like it to be.

3️⃣ Matcha sweet milk
Perhaps due to my ever-failing memory, i had the matcha and matcha sweet milk a day apart and they taste very similar. Thus no comments. 😶

4️⃣ Chocolate
The extra sweetness of the chocolate is perfect balanced out by the deep bitterness of the matcha. With a tinge of milkiness, it is a macaron perfect for beginners! 👍

5️⃣ Espresso
Yuan yang with a twist. Most fragrant of all, with the fusion of the very things dividing humanity — coffee and tea. Perhaps this THE antidote to mend our differences. 😛

6️⃣ Yuzu
Sweet gentle tang and a chew of preserved yuzu which makes you craving for more.

Dayum. Super impressed with the satisfyingly long cheese pulls which lasted throughout the entire corn dog! (and longer than my relationships. Jkjk.). The crust was so shamelessly loud that my neighbour had to knock on my door for noise disruption. 😶‍🌫️ Flavours were milder compared to Sajo’s one which allowed me to focus on the cheese pull. 😏 Sausage was not too fishy but is rather awkwardly sweet, and the texture something which takes time getting used to — kinda soft with no bite (like a sausage frank without the graininess)!
🌽🐶
Ottogi vs Sajo? 1:0.

Eat simi: Double-baked Taro Mochi Croissant

Gosh, this is one dense and CHONKS piece of croissant. This could be one of the flakiest and loudest croissant I’ve had so far!! There was lingering sweetness in every bite, accompanied by the quintessential buttery fragrance of a well-made pastry. The co-habitation of grainy taro and soft mochi produced a really intriguing yet unforgettable texture. 🥺 The top (supposed) sweet potato crust provided a touch of sweet earthy fragrance too! Also, bb is really super generous with their servings which makes the premium price slightly more worth it. (I was really full after eating this 🥴)
🍠
I kinda expected more Q of the mochi but it was pretty much non-existent. (Maybe because i toasted it?) 😕 It’s definitely on the sweeter side which overpowered some of the butter fragrance.
🍠
A pretty well-executed and creative croissant which wins in their laminated crust and servings. 🤩 Definitely on the pricier side though.

Eat simi: Sajo Korean Style Mozzarella Corndogs
Each how much: $9.60 (UP: $13.80)
Eat which store: Available at supermarkets

🌽🐶
This is my first ever corndog experience and was not too disappointed!! The first loud bite unveiled a pillowy sweet bread underneath, encasing a lovely stretch of mozzarella which was neither too heavy tasting, not too greasy. 👍 The bread was also accompanied with a hint of meaty and buttery taste. :O
🌽🐶
The happiness didn’t last quite long though. 😭 The mozzarella lost its stretch halfway through despite reheating and tbh, there’s better tasting snacks out there which costs less!! Happiness doesn’t need to be so expensive lah. *Love yourself yalls*
🌽🐶
Pretty enjoyed the equilibrium of sweet and savoury! It’s can be considered as a fun treat but definitely not comparable to the real deal. 🐾 Sis wants a dog too but gotta plan it out before it happens yalls. Before then, perhaps a corndog once in a while to fill the void?

Eat simi: Banana Chocolate Pau
Eat which store: Just Dough
Eat where: Suntec City, B1 -169 Fountain Court
Eat nice not: 3.7/5
🍌
Interestingly, there was a subtle infusion of banana aroma in the dough which prevented the chocolate from overpowering the former. 👍 The chocolate filling was bittersweet, without the usual surfeiting sweetness in conventional store-bought sweet baos. The slices of banana dispersed among the filling had a slight bouncy texture, similar to goreng pisang. Its tart sweetness was prominently highlighted especially in the bittersweet chocolate filling, which was rather appetizing too!!
🍌
I felt that this bao was lacking the signature fluffiness of Just Dough buns and there weren’t as much fillings compared to the other flavours. 🥲 It’d be great if there would be a more generous addition of bananas too, because I only spotted 1-2 slices. 😭 The bao ended up rather jelak towards the end due to the soft viscous gel-like texture of the chocolate. 😔
🍌
It’s lacking in some distinct characteristics of a Just Dough bao but it doesn’t make this a bad choice either, when the flavours complimented each other quite well. If you’re searching for a sweet yet not-sugary alternative for your breakfast or snack time, this could be a good option!! 😮‍💨
