Westies, have you tried this affordable halal spot? Located within JEM (Kopitiam), Sedap Wok serves a variety of grilled meats, seafood, mains and sides.

🌟 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 ($𝟮𝟲.𝟵𝟬)
This huge platter came with a massive portion of the signature sambal fried rice, accompanied with 6 different dishes. Typically, you can enjoy this dish with mango salad, black pepper prawn, prawn tempura, fish fillet, octopus and clams 🦐🥭🐟🐙 However, when we visited around 6pm some items were already sold out and were replaced with achar, chicken and beef satay.

Overall, food portions were generous and the sambal fried rice which is their best seller is spicy and satisfying 🔥

The platter that we had can easily feed 3 pax which is quite worth!

Located at Kampong Glam area, this spot serves a variety of Malay-American fusion food from pasta, pizza, nasi minyak to bubble tea🧋

We had the 𝗠𝗲𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝘂𝘀 𝗥𝗶𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗲 ($𝟮𝟭.𝟱𝟬), an
uograded version of mee goreng. This sweet spicy rendition comes with Angus beef cubes and edible flowers 🌸

Famous for their mutton bone marrow (tulang merah), this is slow pressure baked for 12 hours. The rich savoury gravy and bone marrow is best paired with parmesan bread. If you’re afraid that this is too much, they also have a curry baby toolang which comes in a smaller serving 🍖🔥

This savoury minced meat pizza comes with some pepperoni, ham and cheese toppings. Wished that this came with more generous amount of toppings 🥺

For the satay platter, we had a mix of chicken and mutton 🍢 The flavourful tender chicken ones turned out to be a crowd favourite 🫶

Enjoyed this premium pie that came with lightly-grilled tender short plate beef slices. The flavourful dashes of truffle olive oil with homemade teriyaki sauce, alongside caramelised onions and sautéed shimeji mushrooms made this one of our favourites too 💓

Grilled with fresh & fleshy white snapper and shrimps, this is complimented with sautéed shimeji mushrooms in creamy and cheesy mentaiko sauce. Crowd favourite!

🐟 𝗨𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶 & 𝗟𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗣𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗮 ($𝟮𝟰.𝟴𝟬)
An interesting combination, we decided to spice things up by adding on a matcha base (+$1). The unagi pieces are complemented by fresh leek in a symphony of onions, shiitake mushroom, sweet corn.

My favourites are the truffle beef pie and mentaiko seafood pie. For pizza, you can change to charcoal or matcha dough base with $1 top up.

A hearty portion, this is also available with Swedish meatballs, seafood, chicken cutlet and mushrooms.

Overall, we enjoyed a hearty no-frills meal. If you prefer dining home, you'd be able to find these items on major food delivery platforms (including Grabfood, FoodPanda and Deliveroo) 🚚

We opted for the chicken chop pasta ($10.50), but if you're feeling adventurous they also have lamb chops and beef steak!

A recommended item, the hotdog is ladled with a generous amount of mildly spicy sauce topped with corn and mayo. This set comes with fries 🍟

Apart from hotdog, the muslim-friendly eatery also serves pasta, grilled meat and other TexMex dishes!
