Indonesian Food

@smashfoods.sg offers a variety of smashed foods with their best sellers including the Ayam Penyet! We had Nasi Ayam Penyet and the USA Set ( which has chicken, prawns and sotong). We enjoyed their food a lot with the chicken being crispy outside while tender inside, the rice was fragrant and the meal was made complete with vegetables and tempeh. We also especially liked their signature sambal which really packs a punch and goes well with all their food too!

@markozarmarkozar offers a series of decadent desserts such as martabak manis, banana cheese, Portuguese egg tarts and Kuih Keria Viral (Sweet potato donuts coated with gula melaka). I had their martabak manis with half corn and half peanut flavours which was chewy and I liked how these flavours added an extra crunch to the texture. The Banana Cheese Ferrero had banana fritters with Nutella, cheese and milk, boasting rich flavours and I enjoyed it too. The Portuguese Egg Tart was crisp and fragrant and the Kuih Keria Viral was dense with the gula melaka not being too sweet too! The packaging is very cute as well, swipe till the end to see it.

You can get these desserts on their website for delivery or at their outlets (the half half martabak flavour is only available at their outlets). They have mini martabak manis samplers for you to get a little of everything too! Can't wait to order from them for when I need my martabak manis fix 🤗

Had a Ovocrunch Martabak to complete our meal at @jtowncafe and it was rich and decadent in flavour while being both crunchy and soft. It would have been better if there was more Ovomaltine in this like those in Indonesia but this was already pretty good 😋

One of my last meals out before the dine-in restrictions was at @jtowncafe with Bakmie Ayam which features springy handmade noodles and chicken going well with their chilli sauce. We had them with crispy fried dumplings and the meal was completed 😋
