Friendly store owners! Nicer when hot, feels quite greasy but not heavy. $14 for 12 muffins.
A returning customer of Yogost, none of their drinks have disappointed so far but my go-to will still be the original purple rice yogurt drink! The other purple rice yogurt drinks taste like a variation of that.
Very filling for 2 people, think the portions would fit 3 ppl nicely!
Enjoyed my shibuya toast :) Got the aloha coconut flavour
Got the avocado macademia but didnt take a picture of it. The sponge was dry and kinda sandy. The filling was okay but still a bit icy despite being out of the freezer for >30min. Saw the other burpple reviews and expected a good cake, sorely disappointed.
Waffles were good -- crispy and light. Paid an extra dollar for the Tiramisu flavour ice cream on the Smores and pretty much regretted it (the tiramisu). It was really sweet and slightly salty. The flavour was overwhelming and didnt pair well with the smores. Plus, PNJ waffles came by default with Vanilla ice cream so a second premium flavour couldnt be picked. The menu on Beyond wasn't accurate, so better to make your picks in store! For one, there's 10% service charge here unlike stated in the pdf on Burpple, and prices for some items are higher (eg. 9.50 for Hojicha soft serve with waffles). There are also some menu exclusions when using Burpple but still a decent selection. Wanted to get the 1-1 drink deal on their coffee but it was only avail for their teas and italian soda.
One waffle is definitely filling enough for one person, but not without feeling a little sick afterwards from the sweetness of everything.
Not as dark and rich as I thought it might be, desserts were dry as well (so those who like dry brownies as compared to fudgy brownies would like this place better). Very sweet, in fact it felt like a sugar overload. The food was pretty and well-presented however.
Great taste and value! But bad idea to have it after dinner because we got really full and tired of the really sweet taste half-way through. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area though; great for sweet-tooths
Got the 1-1 deal for earl grey lavender ice cream and ferrero chocolate (cup) and the total bill came up to be $9.95
Great service, the waiter was really professional and thoughtful, he asked if we wanted to move in from the outside table since we just sat down and there happened to be seats indoors. The ambience is perfect for a short chat over ice cream as well!
Taste-wise, my friend disliked the lavender ice cream but I thought it was interesting and quite liked it. That's a hit or miss kind of flavour. The chocolate one does tastes like ferrer rocher ice cream though. Reliable choice for chocolate lovers.
