(12.50 SGD) from green dot’s new seasonal menu. Contains mushroom, enoki tempura, lettuce and various types of mock seafood. Rice is a mix of brown and white. The gravy is deliciously addictive and deceptively spicy. Like ordering from greendot for WFH lunches since the meals are so clean and light.
About SGD16, scrumptious tempura vegetables on a bed of curry rice. Liked the variety of vegetables enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, eggplant, pumpkin, green beans fried in tempura batter without being too greasy. Plated on top a mound of rice surrounded by curry. Curry rice was as expected and the quantity was a lot for small appetites. These are the kind of dishes where you don’t miss the meat.
(SGD 6) Kinda disappointed with this dish, more creamy and less spicy than my taste and the noodles were thick. Decent amount of stir fried veggies.
(SGD 12++) Sweet sticky mock pork ribs quite delicious and can barely tell that it’s mock meat. After a while can get a bit jelat. Quite vegetarian eatery near Bendemeer Market with quick service. They also sell veg/ mock meat products.
Refreshing and healthy meal. Soy based mock chicken, capsicum in an authentic braised sauce. Perfectly steamed and salted veggies on the side.
Vegetarian crab noodles from the kind bowl a cosy hole in the wall eatery on Killney. The soup is refreshing with a mildly tangy spicy taste so I added in the chilli padi. Made with fresh mint leaves, onions and pineapples which had absorbed the soup so well that you couldn’t taste the sweetness. The tofu based crab cakes were pretty unique and tasty and fortunately did not have a fishy flavor. Substantial portion for one person.
In two minds about this dish. The deconstructed (read minced) tofu mixed with finely chopped veggies and deep fried is perfectly crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth soft on the inside. However the yuzu flavored mayo sauce was too strong on the citrusy taste and felt it needed something else to balance it out.
Delish and substantial meal even for the small serving. Chock full of stir fried veggies. Even the shiitake mushroom was not excessively chewy. They have renovated recently but I prefer the previous more subdued decor. Also disappointed that many of the earlier dishes have been taken off the menu.
Keep coming back to Real Food’s dumplings. Decently sized and Stuffed with mushrooms, carrots and a variety of other vegetables. Served with cherry tomatoes, kailandar and thick noodles in a light mild sauce. Like how their dishes bring out the flavor of the vegetables without overwhelming them. Good choice for a clean meal
Headed down here because of the great reviews and their vast menu of Korean vegetarian fare. Quite close to Tai Seng mrt. Cosy ambiance with low tables. Tried the individual pot army stew medium spicy and chock full of ingredients. A hearty vegetarian meal and filling for one. Would come here more often if it weren’t so far for me :(
[6 SGD] ragi dosa, perfect combo of crisp on the edges and soft inside. chutneys were good too especially the dry coconut one. Feels like homemade food
Green dot has replaced their soup set series with the yong tau foo style nourish bowls ($2.5 for 100g of ingredients). Which is good in a way that you can customize your ingredients. Along with the usual mushrooms, leafy vegetables and mock meat they have introduced veggies/tofu stuffed with ‘meat’ paste. Comes with free flow soup (laksa/mala/herbal) and choice of noodles or rice. Affordable and quantity is good for hearty eaters. A good choice if you want to try vegetarian yong tau foo.
