1 portion of red bone toolang consists of 3 pcs, additional pcs at $6.50 each. According to my dad who enjoys such dishes, it's not your usual toolang, but it's sauce (possibly something like a beef stew) is amazing! As for me, sucking up the marrow from the toolang was too gamey for me. Think I'll stick with the meat at the bone and bread with its gravy next time. The dish comes with few sticks of breadš„š„š„ for you to dip it into the gravy.
It is so good I urge everyone to go give it a try. This old school Hainanese western place is dimly lit with old yellow lamps has been around since the 70s. My granddad, bro, dad and I love this dish for its gamey smell and savoury thick sauce and it's so well seasoned!!
Would come here again just for the lamb chop and chicken pie š„ŗš„ŗ
Drop by and buy their chicken pie you won't regret it. It's a messy and sloppy dish with the thickest chicken pie filling I have ever tasted. Pretty sure the thickness is from potato bcos it was so silky and smooth. Think a blob of chicken filling with a thin pastry!! What a good comfort food šā¤ļø
To be honest, this place needs no reviews bcos there was a constant turnover. But I feel like young people needs to know what their missing out here!
