the mhk pieces had a great chewy texture and impressively remained so despite being soaked in the broth for a long time, which automatically puts this bowl at the top of my list of fav mhk 🙌🏻 everything was seasoned perfectly, from the soup to the minced meat, and the crispy ikan bilis and fried shallots provided additional crunch and fragrance 😙 have been returning on a weekly basis and it’s consistently this good. recommend giving it a shot if you’re nearby!

tried it at the vivo city outlet after hearing the news of them ceasing operations soon 🥲 lei cha with rice is nothing new to me but with kolomee’s a first and i like it even better??! the noodles were springy and coated in a sauce that wasn’t too heavy-tasting. super flavourful and yumz paired with the tea, which was a lil bland on its own.

one gripe i had was that the ingredients were all kinda soft in texture, even the peanuts :’) wish there was some crunch or variation in texture!

silky smooth cheong fun with a super generous amount of fillings 🤩 loved how the prawns were v fresh with a bouncy yet firm texture, which melded well with the tender rice rolls. the mushroom one was surprisingly good and packed alot of umami and earthiness from the mushrooms, super satisfying for a mushroom lover like me!! wished the sauce could be more savoury instead of sweet but it was easily balanced out by pairing the rolls w their housemade chilli!

XLBs ($4): their xlbs were larger than average, juicy and the skin wasn’t too thick tho it broke quite easily once picked up. not the best but v decent considering the price!

fried dumplings ($5): initially found it off-putting how these dumplings were completely fried but they actually taste quite good!! crispy on the outside yet retaining the juiciness of the filling, which they were generous with.

five spices beef la mian soup ($4.50): would advice to just skip this…. a plus is that they are generous with the beef slices which were quite tender but the entire dish is so bland, someone pls pass me the salt 😩

one of my favourite grain bowls!! have been ordering it more ever since i discovered they have free islandwide delivery if you get 3 or more bowls!

healthy, satisfying and below $10??? truly a steal given the generous portions 😋 plus there’s such a wide variety of toppings, protein (some require a minimal top up but still v affordable) and sauces! always changing up my combinations and nothing has disappointed!
