Bubble Tea 🍼
we have chi cha where the aroma of the tea can be smell from miles away from the store! I have wanted to visit them since they have opened but the queue is endless, so I only tasted it recently.
Reached out to my boba friend who is an expert, and she recommended the Dong Ding Oolong Fresh Milk Tea, with 50% sugar. First sip, it didn’t taste as strong as how it smelled but definitely the tea basenote is there. I do love how the oolong is not bitter at all, and still refreshing. HOWEVER, the milk foam is quite basic, I always like a little savoury in my milk foam but this is literally milk foam and not really creamy, they just foam up the milk and pour it into the tea.

It is not the regular Koi, but the signature koi instead. This is my bf’s FAVOURITE BRAND, I think he loves it more than he loves me 🥺 Here is his review :
The earl grey milk tea was perfectly mixed with the right concoction and not too sweet.
The mini pearls are exactly the same as taiwan's version of koi as well.
With the current pandemic this is the closest drink you can get without flying to taiwan

@happycupsg is back in Singapore, where their tapioca and tea is sourced from Taiwan. The difference of Happy Cup is having a teapresso where they just use 60 seconds to brew their tea. The machine does look really cool
We ordered ceylon black tea + fresh milk + boba. This drink doesn’t 100% impress me, I’m not sure if it is due to the low sugar level but we taste more milk than the black tea taste. I have to say that the boba is indeed very chewy. Probably I need to try other favourites to like this brand!
