We tried the beef rendang risotto and salted egg yolk soft shell crab pasta.
Both were huge portions that were extremely filling. The food was decent for its price. They even had a squid game challenge (dalgona candy) where you can get free ice cream for completing it.
Wagyu Roast Beef Donburi ($25 nett for 2 bowls)
Amazing and affordable beef bowl that is delicious as usual.
The 1-for-1 deal was pretty worth it. The mutton is extremely gamy though, and may not be for everyone.
Patlican Musakka $24++
Beyti $23.50++
Tea $3++
Headed to Derwish on a hot weekday noon. The restaurant’s interior looks pretty neat, and the food is decent too.
I’d definitely recommend the Beyti if you’re new to Turkish food and don’t mind the strong mutton taste. Do note that you have to order a drink each if you’re using the Burpple 1-for-1 discount. I recommend getting the apple tea.
Garlicpeno Pasta
Garlic Carbonara
$22++ (1-for-1 pasta)
The garlicpeno pasta was quite spicy, which got slightly better as the pasta cooled. Do eat the crispy garlic pieces before it gets soggy.
The carbonara was flavourful and enjoyable, and the garlic taste cuts through the jelak-ness of this creamy dish.
Will come back to try their other dishes/deals.
Grilled Limbo Fish With Green Pepper (48.90)
Golden Combination (12.90)
Rice (1.00)
Good fish which was cooked well. They gave a lot of ingredients as well, we counted 8 crab sticks.
Ordered their top two drinks, Honey Lemon Oolong Tea and Black Tea Latte w Pudding.
The oolong tea was refreshing and thirst quenching. The black tea latte is like a light milk tea.
