Dinner DATES
Well, this place is a fine dining vibes so you wont be expected to feel full unless you are splurging.
Overall a good date place to bring your partner for some good quality food and date night.
One of the last few dish in their 12-course, this “king of the fish” did not disappoint at all. Used very minimal flavours of garlic n butter to highlight the freshness of the fish, and was the most generous portion in this omakase.
This was the highlight for me - unassuming dish with a great pairing sauce. The mash potato is the cherry on top with a creamy texture.
Bone marrow - interesting dish as its not readily available in many restaurants. Not much meat can be found here but the flavours with the mushroom makes for a good appetiser.
Octopus pasta - honestly a refreshing dish as it looks like a simple carbonara with octopus, but the flavours were well brought out. One of the cheapest dish and highly recommended to get this over the mains of octopus.
Lamb - perfectly cooked, no gamy taste or smell.
Overall, the only feedback i would give is to serve the dishes based on the order (apps followed by mains) as serving all 3 dishes at once makes it hard to enjoy them individually without a clash of flavours.
Fish and chip, 28 SGD
It took us by surprise how tender and fresh the fish is. Unassuming looks but taste great. While this place keeps true to the British ambience, the fish is catered to the local taste which I appreciated.
Fantastic food with piping hot rice, sides - great for people whose girlfriend loves sushi but you don't.
Good, portion small
