Cafes ☕️
food was very average but service was good
worth it with burpple 1 for 1
MUST TRY:
> GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH
> EARL GREY PANCAKES
even the weekenders eggs are soooooo good! bring more friends to try everything! favourite brunch place at the moment x
I mean, the food is good but a lil overrated?
The Butterscotch Banana Pancakes ($19.80) were toooooooo sweet (imagine, caramelised cornflakes, banana, pancakes and maple syrup) > defo need to share this diabetic plate.
Carbonara ($20.90) was good but also, very ordinary. Truffle fries ($10.90) are exactly the same as LUNAR cafe (since they're under the same group)... not the best and the price range for this cafe is mid to high so............
well at least the cafe is quite pretty overall
Amazing brunch place. HAVE TO ORDER EGGS BENNY WHEN YOU'RE THERE.
Does not disappoint!
Unique preparation style of using machines instead of humans to cook the fried rice! However it’s a little steep on the price for the portion provided in my opinion. I ordered the Mentaiko Salmon Fried Rice ( $10.90 ) doesn’t really has the Mentaiko sauce & very small portion of Salmon. For a food court price might be a little costly to some. If you’re a runny egg lover, the egg that came in this dish might not be for you as it was little on the overcooked side.
As for the fried rice overall, they seemed to use pearl rice which is nice and the rice was a little too moist. good for those who prefers moist fried rice.
Ordered this all day breakfast as it was a recommendation on a website. It was about $14.90, however the whole dish was mediocre. Consist of scramble eggs, garden salad and a ham & cheese croissant. To be honest, the scramble eggs taste a little like mcd’s. if you enjoy mcd’s breakfast scramble eggs then you’ll enjoy this plate’s! The ham & cheese croissant is well toasted. Overall the cafe has a good vibes, spacious! Good for just a chilled afternoon.
Ordered the seafood aglio olio under the Burpple deals (2 for $24++) with ice lemon tea.
Adequate portion served came w 2 large mussels and prawns. overall the pasta is not dry for an aglio olio.
Just like its name, simply a fusion of both savoury & sweet ($19) Belgain waffles & fried chicken with maple syrup drizzled generously.
Ordered another of their “thumbs up” - Kucina Pizza. Thin crust & well spread pizza. Topped with salami, cheese & jalapeños. Base sauce might be a little spicy to some but it’s very mild. Great for jalapeños lovers. ($21.90)
Located at the basement of Kenix mall. Cozy little Italian restaurant (+it’s halal!). Ordered this unique pizza which is one of their signature & recommended by the staff. As the name suggests, it’s a pizza filled with mushrooms! Reminds me a little of the kaya buns, where there’s the filling in the middle & crust at the side.
The filling consist of creamy mushroom sauce & truffles, the buttery texture really goes well with the well baked crust. No Burpple deals for this but worth the try to share ($27.90)
Located a distance away from Lavender MRT, walkable along side other shop houses. The cafe is comfortably designed, very well lit. Food wise, I ordered the crab meat aglio olio to share & got to say, they are really generous on portion of crab meat given for pastas. ($22) However do be careful of the tiny crab shells, had to pick out quite a few! Other than that it’s a pleasant plate of aglio olio.
