Price: $7.90 An amazing dessert! Strong and authentic mango flavour (there isn’t really much of a passionfruit flavour). The fresh mango is sweet, the white pearls were chewy and fantastic when cold. The jelly didn’t taste like much but tastes great texturally. The shaved ice isn’t as fine as it used to be, but the flavour is more than enough to compensate for it.
Interesting dips and sauces! Falafel was crispy and flavourful. Pita bread was soft and surprisingly filling! Although asian tongues might not like the mediterranean flavours too much, it’s a great place to try a new cuisine. Service was pretty good ; they checked if our group liked the food and offered the single diner in front of us some free pita fries for her to try new flavours. Very limited seating though; Even though we were there at about 11, the place was packed. i’m pretty sure it would be as good if you got it as take out.
prices not inclusive of GST. I got the Basil Pork Lunch set ($9.90) and upgraded rice to Phad thai for $1. The Basil Pork was moist , but there wasn’t a huge basil flavour. As a huge lover of phad thai, their Phad Thai is solid. There were other sides too: The cucumber and pineapple side was amazing as it provided a refreshing kick. The prawn ring wasn’t as prawny as it could’ve been, but it’s crispy. Prawn crackers taste like, well, prawn crackers. The side of vermicelli was quite interesting too as it tasted a bit sour and refreshing.
The service was great! My meal came pretty quickly and the server briefly checked up on us to ask whether the food was good. The cashier offered to help us split the bill after she saw my friend and I struggling to do so.
Overall, this is one of the better thai restaurants and this set is a very filling meal. I’ll probably come back for the other dishes with the 40% Eatigo discount.
