There are many great places serving Thai food but TNH is one of my all time favourites. Been visiting them 10+ years ago since I was a secondary school kid, back in the days where we could get a beef noodle soup for $4.50 as student price. Now the prices have shot up to $10 but all things considered, the food is still amazingly great and the portions are huge!
I always order the beef noodles or Tom yam noodles and the quality is consistently 💯 The homely vibes are ever as present 10 years ago till now
Yes it’s a little strange to be ordering soup from a western restaurant but this is the best fish soup you’ll ever taste!
My go-to-place for quality and affordable chirashi. The portions for the fish are HUGEE (especially when you dine-in) and of great quality. I’ve been here on multiple occasions, staff are very friendly and helpful too.
I’m one who subscribes to the idea that porridge is largely for sick people, EXCEPT when it comes to flavourful porridge, such as this one from Zhen Zhen! Loved the option for a beaten egg in the porridge; $3 per bowl with so much ingredients is such a steal!
Was feeling peckish so we got some lamb and chicken skewers here! Taste is great though I wished it was a little more spicy 🔥
Love this place - everything is so affordable and delicious. My go to comfort food if I’m looking for HK char chan tang food 😋😋😋
If my foreigner friends are looking for a place to eat authentic local breakfast, I’ll definitely bring them here! Truly love the crispy kaya toast, the runny eggs, the drinks and the old school vibes 😋
🌶🌶 got the spicy kick. Personally, I preferred the grilled fish with green pepper, it had a stronger 麻 taste. Affordable and authentic taste!
Missing JB? Here’s the place you’re looking for for some Malaysian style kway chap in an old school setting. I liked that the kway had a herbal taste to it. Consider adding the duck for an extra kick!
Affordable chilli pan mee at $5! Love how spicy the chilli is and how all the ingredients just come so good together
Edit: didn’t realise my chilli was level 3 until I saw the reviews. LOVED IT
I LOVE EVERYTHING HERE! We feasted on the Bo Luo Baos which was nicely baked, but here’s my favourites so far. It left us screaming “so good!”
- HK milk tea
- Bo Luo Bao
- Wanton noodle soup
- Cantonese porridge
Ps: went on a Sunday afternoon and it had a long queue! Go at irregular hours to avoid a long wait
Loved the Tom yam soup, omelette, mango salad the most amidst all the food we ordered. Great place to enjoy good Thai food without breaking your budget.
