For anyone who have not tried 蔥抓餅 before, you can understand this dish as a Taiwanese version of the roti prata we are all familiar with. Wrapped within the crisp and flaky flatbread was generous amount of fluffy pork floss and melted cheese! Thanks to this combination, the dish is both sweet and savoury at the same time and is very much to our liking! Also, we like how it was freshly prepared upon order to ensure the crispness of the flatbread. This is something we would definitely order again when we revisit this place!
This is the kind of classic comfort food everyone loves. Just the sight of this bowl of Lu Rou Fan brings back joyful memories of our Taiwan adventure. The fluffy bowl of white rice is nicely coated with a brown glistening sauce and topped with a generous scoop of fatty pork that was braised in soy sauce and mixed herbs for hours. While it can’t be compared to the one that is sold in Taiwan, this humble bowl of Lu Rou Fan from Lai Lai definitely makes a good substitute to satisfy your craving!
