Cafe Crawl 🤤

This is the first burpple 1f1 cafe that I wanna return to!!! And I’ve been visiting cafes since Aug — I think that says a lot alr (“: beef cheeks were really tender (didn’t even need a knife), loved the mashed potato. If there’s anyth that could be improved: bigger portions pls

(Advice: call to reserve a table beforehand to avoid the long weekend queues)

Omg where do I begin. From the time we arrived till the moment this pasta entered my system, it was a good 1.5h...

We waited ~30min for a table despite making a reservation bc according to the staff, Chope doesn’t allow them to limit reservations even after exceeding their max capacity. Ok I kinda call bull bc Chope is a pretty established platform so this sounds dodgy, but even if it really was the case, the cafe had our contact details and should’ve informed us in advance ): They brought ice cream out for us after awhile to appease us, and it was pretty successful — until we finally ordered and still had to wait ~45min for our food to arrive.

If the pasta was good, I wouldn’t be writing this horrible review. Alas, it was really meh. Just a lot of noodles and meh. I can’t emphasize how disappointing this experience was hahaha

To top it off, their 1-for-1 rules were extremely baity. On the burpple app, there are no exclusions; at the cafe, they said that it only applies to ONE main (Chicken Steak-Out) and the pastas. It’s like they were trying to make me hate them 🥴 all in all, you’ve been warned. Go at your own risk!

Portion was small and the sauce was quite salty. In the words of my friend, it was “one-dimensional” LOL and we should have gotten the don bc it had veg&egg etc.

In my opinion, its saving grace was that it wasn’t too creamy and ~$12 with burpple 1f1. I would never eat this for $22 haha, but even with the discount idt I’m coming back here any time soon (“:

Yummy!!! It was a tad bit too rich but overall I give it an 8/10 👍🏻 -1 for richness, -1 for no meat LOL (btw it actually went well with the fried chicken from the Chicken & Waffles 😉) worth it with burpple 1f1!

“Waffles dry, chicken good” — in the exact words of my sis LOL. But I personally thought the waffles was ok! I loved the pairing of the maple butter sauce with the chicken 😍 Portion was really generous! Worth with burpple 1f1!

Do take note that you might be automatically assigned outdoor seating (when making an online reservation) if the tables indoors are all taken. (Something we wish we knew 🥴)

Following the reviews here, I actually ordered the Chicken Meatball Pasta but it was so-so only. I get that it was a unique dish but it was pretty bland and meh. On the other hand, this prawn pasta recommended by the staff was SO GOOD!!!! She told us that the king prawns had just arrived and they really were fresh 🤤 overall 10/10 delish & savory (just that portion could’ve been bigger)

Firstly, this place is super ulu?? We walked abt 15min from vivo & reservations aren’t allowed on weekends but thankfully it’s so ulu that it was pretty empty HAHA also will do anyth for burpple 1f1 so

The staff were friendly (: This salmon dish was ok, not bad! Give it a 7.5/10! Salmon was cooked well & the ingredients went very well tgt. It was just a bit too creamy & I wished the portion was bigger bc I’m still hungry (“:

My friend says it’s nice HAHA in her words: “very generous with the cheese”, “big portion”, “thumbs up” lmao

We used burpple 1f1 so price-wise very worth 👍🏻
