Kosong ($1.20) was crispy and not too oily. The magic meatless murtabak ($6.90) was quite nice too, the filling was savory with lentils and mushrooms.
Love the free flow fish curry too.
Laksa was pretty average. Prefer the hawker center versions instead š . Otah was really good though, must get!

The soup is really good - rich, sweet and full of umami. The lard, shallots and chilli powder just melt together to make take the soup to the next level. Also, prawns are large and fresh. A bit pricey ($12 for jumbo) but you get the quality you pay for.
You also should try the prawn crackers from the stall next to it.
Generous amounts of fish (5 large slices) and noodles. Hearty soup. Decent place for a quick and affordable meal.
This is SO GOOD. It is on the crisper side, because the uncle takes time to fry each batch fresh and crisp even with the long long queues. Got about 6-7 oysters for this $6 size.
Go before 6.30pm on weekends if you don't want to be queueing for 30 mins or more.
Fragrant chicken rice with tender and flavourful meat. Chili sauce is well done too. Queue can be very long and slow so best to avoid peak mealtimes.
Short walk from Bras Basah mrt so it makes for an affordable eat in town.
