Very rich bowl of seafood soup with wok hey smell in it. Generous with ingredients; fish slices, meat chunks, prawns etc. the dry Chili flakes (used to be able to scoop yourself, now need to ask for it) goes so well with the seafood and rice!!
Expected damage: ~$12-$15/bowl

I couldnāt believe myself but Iād choose this masala carrot cake over my usual black or white carrot cake. The flavour is rich and the masala takes the fragrance to the next level. Uncle sells white / black / masala / yuanyang too!
Expected damage: $4/plate

Rice is very lemak and fluffy, itās so light and I easily polished them all. Sambal was both sweet and spicy, chickenās rampah was so sedap and I love the sambal aubergine as well. Yums!
Expected damage: ~$30/pax (with drinks)

If you have had Kuala Lumpurās Village Park Nasi Lemak, I must say this is a really close substitute since the borders are closed.
Rice is lemak, chicken is freshly fried - crispy, tender and hot, sambal chili has a right balance of spiciness and sweetness. I added the beef rendang but sadly, it was gamy and not great.

Soft silky flat rice sheets. This hearty bowl of herbal goodness warms my heart even late at night. Tucked away in Bishan neighbourhood, this Kway Chap stall uniquely opens from 8pm till wee hours. Their braised tofu is one of the softest and their pork belly is so tenderly-yummy! One of the best Iāve had, makes every calorie count worth it. Very generous portion served too.
Kway Chap + 5 ingredients ($5.50/pax)
