EARLY BIRDIE
Donāt you miss Taiwan? I certainly do! This is the closest I have had in SG that reminds me of Taiwanās Oyster Cake (č”ę¤é„¼). Itās not peppery but the oyster cake is packed with juicy minced meat, two plumped oysters and two frozen prawns. Kimchi is not bad too.
Expected damage: $3-$4/pc

Soft bolo bun with crusty sugary top and butter melting within the bun, itās definitely not the same as those I have had in HK but tweaked to local taste imo. I love it and the portion is huge, definitely worth your bucks! Coffee is better than milk tea, milk tea has a bit of siap taste.
Expected damage: ~$10-$12/pax

Hidden away in the nature along Springleaf, this cafe sells a variety of brunch and mains. Wanted to try their pasta but it was breakfast menu still, hence, had my hands on this simple pie. The black pepper keropok (chips) surprised me! Itās really addictive! The pie is ordinary for the price paid. Coffee is alright. I would go for their pasta next time.
Mushroom Chicken Pie ($9.90)
Flat White ($4.90)

Itās been awhile since I had candied bacon. Definitely not a common ingredient here in SG but I am glad Kins offered. Their brunch and mains options are great and I love how simple, comforting and delicious the scrambled eggs and croissant are for this dish.
