Second meal out last weekend since the easing of P3HA, at one of my favorite place! This is the first time weāve dined in here (been ordering delivery the past few times) and I think it travels quite well.
Decided to try Bakwan Kepiting ($7) which was a simple soup with minced meat/crabmeat meatballs - while the soup was comforting, I wasnāt a fan of the meatballs as the porky taste was pretty strong. Also ordered Gado Gado ($12), Otak Otak (a tad pricey at $4 a piece); and tried the curry vegetables - which I absolutely loved! Lemak and not overly spicy for that right amount of enjoyment. And of course we had to get the Ayam Panggang āBlue Gingerā. We also had Beef Rendang and Sotong Keluak to go - was damn good too! š
Tender, mild smokiness and flavourfully marinated with a medley of spices. Definitely one of my favorites from TBG.
Pretty affordable Nonya food here. Braised duck was tender and the savory, slightly sweet and tangy sauce from the use of coriander, tamarind and other spices, was tasty! Served with braised egg, nonya pickle and chilli chuka.

Definitely one of the most enjoyable stay home meal Iāve had in awhile! Slightly pricey but everything was delicious, surprisingly travelled well. Even the chilli was so darn good.
Unanimous favourite would be the Ayam Panggang. The grilled chicken was tender, smoky and the sauce was fragrant! We also enjoyed the addictively earthy Sotong keluak, which while flavourful, seems milder than most keluak dishes so itās a good place to start for the uninitiated.
Iāve always loved hee peow soup and chap chye, and the ones here was also undoubtedly good (probably couldāve easily finished it by myself š) Ngoh hiang was generously stuffed, juicy and I liked that I could taste the water chestnut! The beef rendang was a tad oily but tender, aromatic and not spicy.
