Drinks
Love the drinks at Yogost! Had my usual Watermelon Yo-tea, and also gave their new drink a go: Mango Grapefruit; both drinks are super refreshing and delicious, definitely recommend!
First time trying @oneprawnnco ! I ordered their Supreme Prawn Noodles ($20), which had all of their signature ingredients in one dish (clams, shabu shabu pork, pork rib, prawn tobiko ball, prawns).
I was surprised to see that the soup (cooked in a claypot btw!) was cooked separately from the noodles. The soup broth was super flavourful, filled with the rich and robust flavours of the prawn heads and pork bones. It was definitely the main star of the show, and the ensemble cast of ingredients worked together harmoniously to elevate the dish to another level. The stand out ingredient for me would actually be the tobiko ball, I really enjoyed how springy it was, and was packed with prawn flavour as well.
Also tried their Ngoh Hiang tasting platter ($13), and it was so sinfully good, and I simply couldn't stop going back for seconds. I particularly enjoyed the ngoh hiang and fishcake the most.
Even though the prices are slightly on the high end, I feel that the food here more than justifies the price point. Definitely worth giving it a shot!
Absolutely enjoyed my dinner here at The Drunken Poet! Had a nice glass of Guiness that paired wonderfully with their Fish and Chips. Love the overall atmosphere of the place as well, and the staff were all really nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend!
Took some time of my busy schedule to go check out The Gyu Co, a simple bistro in the West known for their premium wagyu beef dons at surprisingly affordable prices. I ordered the Foie Gras Gyu Don, which was a steal at its price of $14.90. With large, juicy slices of beef and a wonderfully plump piece of foie gras on the top, it was both delicious and incredibly value-for-money. I'd definitely checking out this place whenever you're in the West and hungry for some beef bowls đź‘Ť
Finally got the chance to try Yomie's Rice x Yogurt after hearing about it from my friends. I bought their signature purple rice yogurt drink, and I have to admit I enjoyed it a lot. The rice was chewy and reminded me of bubble tea pearls, and the yogurt was both refreshing and sweet. Would definitely recommend!
