Been the biggest fan of Japanese mochi bread since they appear in SG many years back & during my stay in JP 🇯🇵, I also took the chance to always try new flavours! Similar to the Brazilian Pão de Queijo, but made with glutinous rice flour as opposed to tapioca flour, I love their super chewy texture😬
Chanced upon this new flavour- Shoyu Cheese 🧀, made of shredded mozzarella, gouda cheese & diced processed cheese topped with shoyu sauce & seaweed, I really like this creative savoury flavour as it reminded me of the yaki shoyu mochi 🍘 (Grilled Japanese Rice Cake) that I really love ❤️ The addition of seaweed 🌊 gave it a nice seafood aftertaste, mild but sophisticated enough to make it unique!
A flavour that isn’t too mainstream, but definitely a bite size savoury delight that highlights the taste of Japanese shoyu & seaweed in a different form😍
Who needs a casual Mexican fix tonight? Been a while since i dine in at Guzman Y Gomez, and this Australian licensed, causal chain has always been a go to when there’s craving for that true Mexican bite!
Dropped by the outlet at funan a while back & really love the open atmosphere there with colourful high tables☺️
First time trying the 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐬 ($14.9) which is your regular burrito topped with salsa/ jack cheese & gucamole! Chose the grilled chicken option and similar to the 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐨𝐰𝐥 ($10.9), fresh ingredients with bursting flavours in every mouth, kept me wanting more & I end up finishing every bit even though I was rather full. Just get the normal burrito if you aren’t that hungry😉
Can’t decide which sauce to pair with, so my friend & I got all 4- the pickled jalapeños and the 3 salsa at hot/ medium/ mild! My taste buds still love hot the most 🌶 & the jalapenos always help to cleanse the palate a little after☺️
The two mains already come with their house made corn chips, but if that is not enough, perhaps get their Nachos to share too for the full Mexican Party🎉
Cosy, humble & unpretentious new bakery on the block which specialises in their sourdough sandwiches & yummy bakes! Specially love their 100% sourdough croissant that is crisp just right!
Their sea salt brownie is also a must try! The salt complimented well with its chocolate, making the sweetness just nice for the taste buds🥰
