Being a Vietnamese, I have always been a bit more critical at Vietnamese foods when trying national dishes overseas. At Moc Cottage, surprisingly and pleasantly, the foods don’t disappoint me at all. We order the Hanoi style grilled fatty pork with vermicelli and the Grilled sliced pork (17++) and fried spring rolls with vermicelli (17++). The meat taste is of good quality and well seasoned (a bit stronger if you are new to fish sauce), the herb is fresh and the cook seems to put attention in the dish arrangement which clearly accentuate each component. The portion is actually bigger than it looks so that’s another plus.
The high F&B price can discourage new patrons when compared with other Vietnamese restaurants. However, I definitely recommend friends to try Moc Cottage as an introduction to the cuisine. And don’t forget to make use of Burpple beyond deal.
