The mentaiko sauce here is really so good
Couldn’t really taste the mustard in this dish and overall felt that their flavours didn’t seem to go well with a buckwheat base. Not sure if I would return as I much prefer the flavours from French Fold
This was a hard bread that was a little spicy probably due to the red onions they added! I also tried their mushroom and truffle Brie sourdough bun and much prefer the latter for its softer dough. Both very satisfying!
It’s not listed in their menu but they have a vegetarian version of this. Portions were just right for brunch. But take note some of their dishes have bigger portions
Not sure if it’s due to the crowds, but I felt that that standard has dropped a little. Rice was a bit too clumpy for us.
The egg white frittata was a little too salty for me.
This was at their new outlet at Pasir Panjang. They don’t have sets anymore and everything is a la carte. We tried the tomato omelette, braised cabbage, crispy salty chicken and chicken rice! All were great and around $16 per pax
The chicken rice set which comes with braised cabbage and Taiwanese sausage (changed to braised egg) was $8 which is really affordable! Chicken rice was very flavourful even though it looked really bland.
If you want to try everything they’ve got to offer, the $15 set which comes with any drink of your choice is the way to go
Beef brisket with mustard and pickles. Topped up slices of tomato for freshness!
House made ricotta with roasted tomatoes and spinach on sourdough. The house made ricotta was creamy yet light and the tomatoes were really juicy. The sourdough was not overly toasted as well which made it easy to eat.
Got the little cheeseburger which was a single patty instead of the regular which comes with 2 patties. Also tried their five guys and Cajun style fries. The cajun fries smelled nice but was a tad too salty for me. Also loved that we can customise the burger with their rather extensive list of toppings. Comparing this to Shake Shack, I much prefer the latter for its cleaner taste. Five guys is just a tad too greasy, but it has its own charm
Comprised of kale, onions, avocado mash, gochujang sauce and an omelette. Portion of this was pretty big so it’s well worth it’s price of $10! The onions inside wasn’t overpowering, just providing some sharpness to the sandwich. Omelette was as it’s name suggests, pretty fluffy!
